Comedian Bill Maher is an Exec Producer for VICE-tv. Recall that he gave Obama $1M for the last campaign. This is what can happen when you do that. Simple politic$. Not that itās a bad idea, as prison reform is long overdue and Presidents typically donāt care one whit, but it is no doubt a bit of play-for-pay, with a deferred time-stamp. Maher has complained that he never got a Thank You card or call, but this is better for everybody, isnāt it?

Anyone who has taken the time to watch VICE on HBO already knows that it could be the best news program available. Itās what 60 minutes āusedā to be, before the great ones aged out to retirement or simply and unfortunately passed away. Condemning something because an executive producer donated to a campaign is quite simply silly. Itās easy enough to turn that on itās edge and recall the illegal and private meetings that Cheney had with API and energy producers, which ended up in the Iraq war. So, before you spew, watch VICE, especially the episode this past spring on Killing Cancer.

Who is condemning here? Just connecting dots, plus calling it a good idea. Also: The weakest part of VICE-tv is Smith and his oddball vocal inflections and weak on-air skills.
