Discussion: Obama Will Announce Immigration Executive Actions On Thursday

Discussion for article #230345

What a huge unforced error, waiting until after the election. The President simultaneously inspired no Democrats, fooled no Republicans and impressed no swing voters by waiting.

Rumors swirl that Manchin is planning to switch R.

You’ll be able to smell the pout(R)age wafting coast-to-coast.

Yeah. But that’s over and done with, and we are where we are.

What matters is that he’s doing this now, which is wonderful news for five or so million people. And there’s the potential big bonus that the GOP will make major assholes of themselves over this, which the general public might actually notice (unless the press ignores it all, except for whatever McCain says on Sunday morning shows).

So still time to stock up on hazmat suits and rain ponchos for the coming Republican outrage storm.

Sweet. Gonna be on the road and offline most of Friday. If he announces it Thursday night,I’ll get to see some GOPs set their hair on fire. Might be able to catch part of the EIB Network on Friday. That’ll be fun. LOL!

He was asked by the Democrats to wait until after the election. He helped no Democrats because they are spineless wimps who wouldn’t let him try to help. And as for Republicans: please. My senile 17 year old cat could fool your average Republican. But, he’s not trying to fool anyone. He straight up said he was going to issue an EO if Congress didn’t act. They didn’t act and, low and behold, he’s doing what he said he would. Any more issues of “concern” I can address for you?

I thought most local stores were already out of those because the Teatrolls bought them up to save themselves from Ebola (not to mention the coming zombie apocalypse).

Republicans will start impeachment proceedings on Monday.

I’m glad he’s doing it, but he should’ve done before the election. Oh well, better late than never.

A minor technicality at this point.

Let’s do it, Mr. President. The GOP has no intention of working with the President in the next Congress. It would only expose their ugly prejudice and hatred for minority groups, so they have decided it’s safer to push it off on the President and continue the regular “bashing” of the President’s actions regardless of what they are.

The closer they get to 60 the more likely they will be able to break filibusters.

FSM Almighty, I hope the Baggers go ahead with impeachment. There’s no way in hell they have the votes in the Senate, and it might bring the truth of their crimes to light.

Of course, the average voter is by now so deceived, they might actually believe there are grounds.

You joke, but I’d give you good odds that if a poll was taken at least 23% of the people in the south would rate the chances of a zombie apocalypse as don’t know or better.

It was not him. His fellow Democrats (some here on these very pages) begged, begged begged him not to do it before the election. He knew what he was doing, but they all said they would blame their losses on him. So he let them take the blame all for themselves.
