Where’s Rick Perry on this double indictment of the Texas “health care system”? Hoping it goes away?
That poor man got terrible treatment all around – that’s what happened.
Among the powers of the President are the following:
He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses,
President Obama ought to convene them immediately and demand that they restore the funding cut from the CDC.
Well, they could start by not sending a man home who has a fever of unknown origin who has just returned from West Africa with nothing more than a few Aspirin. And they might try getting a decent patient history that includes the question, “Have you recently raveled to West Africa?”
Nurse’s notes stated he had been to Liberia. Said notes never transferred to Doctor who saw him. “Take two aspirin and call us when you have full blown communicable Ebola…”
Thanks Obama for stating the friggin obvious!
How about getting back the $ 600 M in budgets cuts that you and the Republicans took from the CDC and the NIH!
Obama - how about educating the American public on how the Republicans cut the CDC budget…and because you are such a weak leader that you gave in to their budget cut hostage taking.
We need a President with a spine - Elizabeth Warren for President!
Now that President Obama has been informed about this, Republicans will use it to hang everything that follows on him. If another case turns up, it’s Obama’s fault for failing to urge the CDC enough. Or for “failure to lead”. Or because he was playing golf when he should have personally been doing something to prevent more Dallas healthcare workers from contracting the soon-to-be-renamed “Obola.”
