By the time Obama’s done carving him, tRUmp’s about to end up like this guy:

It would be kinda fun if Obama filled a few sports stadiums while Donnie boy struggled to fill high school gyms with his magaty base.

The implication is that Skanky Manslut just says shit without concern for nuance. President Obama, by comparison, understands that words have power and meaning, and therefore wants to say things clearly. You do that by having notes available.

I am a long-time academic. By the end of my career I was (and remain) perfectly capable of delivering a lecture on any topic in elementary statistics at a moment’s notice. Even after 30 years I went into the classroom with notes. Why?

  1. Definitions are important, and almost right is wrong.
  2. Some questioning of the class depends on their response to the material, but other questions are important enough to address directly. A list of those questions is important so that you don’t elide one (or more) inadvertantly.
  3. Working numerical examples (or other detail-oriented work) in advance will speed things up and give you a chance to check your work in advance.

Organizers might need to start holding these in sports arenas.

Twitler is gonna blow a fuse as the crowd sizes top his again. And again. And again.

Oh. And then when we crush the midterms.

I recently wrote an essay about the use of language and here’s the final bit.

“They used to teach us that profanity is a crutch used by those with inadequate language skills. I tend to believe that because I know quite a few people who can excoriate a person or thing without having to resort to profanity or vulgarities.”

It wouldn’t surprise me if djt keeps quite about Obama. He’s a bully to those he can bully. He can’t stand up to real men. However, I believe he will try to sic his tame media and surrogates into attacking Obama mercilessly.

Big mistake if they do. Funny how two years of insanity can make a truly sane leader seem god-like? If “in the valley of the blind, the one-eyed man is king,” than in DC Obama must be god.

Obama’s speech in Urbana, Illinois, was balm to my soul. For those who may have forgotten, he showed us what a real president looks like. I was in the kitchen ready to eat my late breakfast when I heard his voice on TV in the next room. I put my breakfast on a tray and went to watch. Obama in campaign mode is great.

““We’re supposed to stand up to bullies,” he said, stony-faced. “Not follow them.””

These are not bullies, they are sociopaths and psychopaths.

Lindsey got pwned over and over and over by American citizens today.

Here’s a sampler.

…during his scheduled weekly stream-of-consciousness rant in Montana last night that George Bush and Barack Obama did speak from notes. He said that Obama in particular is an eloquent orator, but that neither used notes because they were not capable of speaking without notes

My bad! I’m jumping around from thread to thread and didn’t read carefully enough. I read it as Trump saying two different contradictory things. We all know that could never happen!

Remember when Gandalf The Grey was defeated at the bridge of Khazad-dûm, but then he came back, only much more powerful and awesome? That’s kinda how I’m feeling about Obama now. I’m getting this sense this is gonna be his possibly most important political moment–if ever there were a time repudiate everything embodied in the modern GOP, it’s right now. I’m looking forward to how this plays out between now and midterms. I imagine we’re going to hear a lot more from Obama, and I can’t wait!

Lame Lindsey gets more pathetic by the day. What happened to the Graham who called Trump “a jackass”, “a race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot”, “a wrecking ball”, “a kook”, “crazy”, “unfit for office”? Was it the two golf games with Trump that changed him? Does Trump have dirt on Lindsey from the Russian hacking of his email account? Graham’s abrupt about face is still stunning to me.

It’s okay. When I went back and re-read that sentence, I realized I must have channeled Skanky’s stream-of-consciousness style. I’m ordinarily a better writer than that.

Rested, refreshed, and roaring to go.

Welcome back Mister President.

(I usually disdain the custom of calling people by a title they used to have, but in this case, I make an exception. And it is a title I have not and never will use in connection with Donald John Trump, whether in the Oval Office or the County Jail.)
