"There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you
could even – you could even rig America’s elections," Obama said

He went on to add: “No one should understand this more than the Republicans, who have been trying, without success, to rig elections for years.”

Being from Wisconsin, I would be happy to provide some cheese to go with that whine.

“I’d advise Mr. Trump to stop whining and go try to make his case to get votes,” Obama said.

Goes a long way these days does masterful pre-debate trolling.

it is a shame that the Prez literally has to take time out of his day to inject common sense back into our lives… but YAY! for him all the same…

“Historically, regardless of party, the person who loses the election congratulates the winner, reaffirms or democracy and we move forward,” Obama said.

“grumble,grumble,1824,grumble,grumble,Henry Clay,grumble…”

BO: But Trump has not ordered his surrogates to label his opponent hermaphroditical, so he’s still got something on Jefferson. Oh, and not raping his slaves…probably.

It’s worse than any of us had imagined until now.

Clearly, this conspiracy reaches all the way to the Oval Office.

Well, it only took one state but they managed it once with the help of the Supreme Court.

There are few pleasures in life quite as complicatedly satisfying as seeing a bully beaten within an inch of his life.

I know a certain % of people are going to cling to Trump as they have to Palin. But I’m heartened that (I believe) most people will want him to just go the f*** away after he’s beaten badly on Nov. 8th.

“You start whining before the game’s even over? If whenever things are going badly for you and you lose you start blaming somebody else, then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job,” Obama said.

O.M.G. I’m going to miss this guy.

This whole issue of “rigged elections” is the fault of the entire Republican Party. Trump, as always, has taken this meme to its extreme.

It’s the Republicans who are engaging in voter suppression based on very spurious (nonexistent) claims of voter fraud. It’s the Republicans who want to disenfranchise minority voters…which are the areas Trump claims engage in voter fraud.

It’s the Republicans who have tried to paint this President as unAmerican for racial purposes. Some of their leaders have even placed a target over PBO or Sec. Clinton in their advertising. Now they’re shocked that Trump has taken it to the extreme?

From NYT editorial

It may be too late for the Republican Party to save itself from the rolling disaster of Donald Trump, but the party’s top leaders still have the duty to speak out and help save the country from his reckless rhetoric.

Instead of disavowing this absurdity outright, Republican leaders sit by in spineless silence. Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, and Paul Ryan, the speaker of the House, are the two most powerful Republicans in the country and should be willing to put the national interest above their own. Both know full well that there is no “rigging,” and yet between them they have managed one tepid response to Mr. Trump’s outrageous accusations: “Our democracy relies on confidence in election results,” Mr. Ryan’s spokeswoman said, “and the speaker is fully confident the states will carry out this election with integrity.”

This is like standing back while an arsonist pours gasoline all over your house, then expressing confidence that the fire department will get there in time.

Mr. Ryan and Mr. McConnell could hardly dishonor themselves more than they already have in this sordid election year, but their refusal to stand up to Mr. Trump’s pernicious lie may be their lowest moment yet.

@grack Dreams of a trumpf TV network aren’t going to happen and his merch, hotels and entire brand are tanking. So other than his followers threatening to assassinate Clinton, we’ll be done with him for this most part
