Baby boomer here, too. So far as I know, none of my baby boomer cousins and there are quite a few, voted for any Republican. Nor did I and I cast my first vote, several weeks after my 18th birthday for George McGovern.

You know that is anecdotal. How in the world do you explain the shellacking Mondale received in 1984, if the majority of the Boomers…who were the biggest demographic age group in 1984…voted for him instead of Reagan?
The general trend is Boomers voted for McGovern, those that bothered to vote…most did not in '72, then they voted for Carter in '76…more voted, but still lots of Boomers didn’t/couldn’t. Then in 1980, they started shifting towards Reagan…they did so in huge numbers in 1984 and again in 1988. And as a demographic group, the majority of them have kept voting republican ever since. Do a sizable minority vote Democrat? Yes…a sizable enough of a minority that,combined with other groups, it propelled Clinton to 2 wins in 92 and 96.
But the majority of Baby Boomers went republican with Reagan and most of those that did, stayed republican till this day.
