She kept it short and sweet pushing her compassionate conservative sympathies for minorities and diverse Indian American origins.
Essentially, she was presenting her VP credentials to the Republican convention delegates.
She made a point of distancing herself from the GOP lunatic fringe while still courting them. She said that Obama had failed but didn’t really say how or why. She read her speech instead of giving one. Seemed afraid to say much. Haley jumped around to all the usual wedge issue copy points but didn’t appear to be very enthusiastic about pushing any of them that I could see.
Hasn’t that been the case with the GOP for decades? They promise but never deliver almost like like they don’t believe any of that crap themselves. Republicans have narrowed their focus to the most negative things and people. What is there to be inspired by?
How did he say it? “You have robbed the people of their vote which put you here?” Something like that? It was brilliant. It will resonate with all voters even the TeaParty base who now hate the GOP Establishment as much as they hate this black president.
I think he said “ripped off” several times. Trump must have been quite impressed.
Some of them seem almost giddy that one of those sailors might be killed. It doesn’t get much more gruesome and indecent than that. Whose side are they on?
Well Sandy, that was two women in a row I think that got the honors, so at least their pretentiousness is expanding. Maybe a real black person for the next couple.
Actually, the curse of the response has cost them a few contenders, Jindal and Rubio bombed big time and have been seen as clowns ever since. They are basically sacrificing the responder at this point.
I read a little since I made this comment that you responded to and her vision is unrealistic. She talks as if her Party hadn’t damned near wrecked the nation and entire world. She 's condoning the Bush adventures and the Cheney doctrine and that lack of backbone and gut makes her weak and unworthy. She played her part, yes girl, but showed zero for being an innovative leader with any sort of unique ideas.
Badmouthing the President isn’t very Presidential, she’s done politically.
I saw the camera pan to Sen. Jeff Beauregard Sessions R-Al as he put his head down while the president called out bigotry and intolerance. Guilty conscious?
