Discussion: Obama Tells Scott Walker To 'Bone Up On Foreign Policy'

Iran will see how Walker double crossed private sector unions in Wisconsin and quiver in their boots.

How long did it take for you to come up with that one?

Of course, as a college dropout, boning up, was, alas, not a diversion that Scott Walker engaged in on a regular basis. But, if Scotty could stand up to 100,000 union protesters, he is eminently qualified to take on the dreaded ā€œIranian National Balletā€.

Yeah, itā€™s not like Obama has screwed up the Middle East, allowed the Russians to begin rebuilding the Soviet Union or kept the economy sputtering along at the lowest level in the past 70 years. Oh, snapā€¦he has.

Youā€™re just mad because he beat back the teachersā€™ union and survived the lame recall efforts of the left.

You forgot to mention that Walker has all the charisma of Tim Pawlenty, all the ethics of Chris Christie, all the grace of Newt Gingrich, and all the self-awareness of Rick Perry. Truly, heā€™s the platonic ideal of a modern-Republican.

Scott Walker has been worst Governor of Wisconsin in terms of job creation since records have been kept.

Iā€™m mad because Scott Walker promised Wisconsin that we were heading to surpluses that would allow us to invest in education, infrastructure and healthcare for seniors. Instead we now have huge deficits that Walker is using as an excuse to slash funding for education and healthcare, while adding billions of dollars to our debt to finance basic road construction projects.

Iā€™m mad because Walker promised to focus on job creation in the state, and instead funneled our tax dollars into a poorly managed and financially irresponsible slush fund to help support the profits of his campaign donors, even when that meant ā€˜investingā€™ in companies that donā€™t actually provide an economic benefit to the state.

Iā€™m mad because Walker has the nerve to surround himself with convicts and hacks, and then lecture other people about leadership and personal responsibility.

Arenā€™t you mad that Scott Walker has so badly misled Wisconsin and pulled a bait and switch operation to promote his own personal ambitions as a career politician? Seriously, why arenā€™t you mad?

Richard, you have a lot more faith in the clown car parade that currently makes up the repug field. James Baker is not on their advisory radar ( the last bush didnā€™t listen to him why should the next). John Bolton is.

Scott Walker is a huge fan of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. Do you think Walker will model his middle-eastern policy, especially with regards to Iran, after the Reagan administration or after the Obama administration? Or maybe after the Bush administration?

I certainly love his rare but kinda awesome put-downs. I remember when he released his birth certificate, he sent some love toward the press this way: ā€œNow let me just comment first of all on the fact that I canā€™t get the networks to break in on all kinds of other discussions. I was just back there listening to Chuck. He was saying ā€˜Itā€™s amazing that heā€™s not going to be talking about national security.ā€™ I would not have the networks breaking in if I was talking about that, Chuck, and you know it.ā€

Boom. This oneā€™s similar: so direct, so brutal, youā€™ve got to love it: ā€œWalker wouldnā€™t talk that way if he knew anything about foreign policyā€ is basically the message. A grownup talking to a child. Nice.

Thanks for stepping up and giving us that powerful and moving demonstration of the mindset of the exact kind of voter I was talking about.

Except typically the Protectorate isnā€™t the one calling the shots.

But, but, butā€¦ Obama is totally allowing Russia to rebuild the Soviet Union! Totally realistic serious factual reasonable analysisā€¦ The ruble is soaring and Putin is ascendant! Any day nowā€¦ And Obama is sitting back and letting it all happen. We need a President that realizes that the Soviet Union is the biggest threat we face in the 21st-century. Iā€™m sure that if we just start bombing Iran leading to another boondoggle war in the middle-east, Russia (er, the Soviet Union) will totally collapse as a result, because there is such clear historical precedent for thatā€¦

But he makes up for the lack of charisma with the snarling abrasive hostility of Bob Dole, minus Doleā€™s self-effacing humor and surly quasi-charm.

Well, he doesnā€™t really HAVE to bone up on foreign policy. the Kochs will tell him what to do.

After 4 years, Walker is slowly turning Wisconsin into Wississippi. Minnesota has widened our lead in so many areas with Wisconsin where we were once so close. Packerland voters have demonstrated why they are known as cheese heads.Twice they had an opportunity to get rid of Walker, instead they kept him.

Scott was so angry that for a second his eyes looked normalā€¦

Speaking of needing to ā€œbone upā€. The Soviet Union cannot be rebuilt. It is no more, it is kaput, it no longer exists, it is an ex-nation. It has joined the choir invisible.
