Discussion: Obama Suggests Meeting With Trump Wasn't All It Was Cracked Up To Be

I am sure that it got real awkward after Obama refused to sign the NDA that Trump asked him to sign

Oh, something was cracked, all right.

It must be deeply tragic for the Obamas to see everything they worked for for 8 years gleefully trashed by a know-nothing narcissist and a nihilist Republican party that talks about “smaller government” until they control it.

Well, that should be good for about a half dozen spittle flecked Trump tweets.

These guys make Obama look so damn smart.

I can’t wait until he has that beer and unloads.

Which makes me wonder: Where does Drumpf get his information now that he is sitting on top of the heap? Can he still watch cable news? Will he even know that Obama is trashing him?

Glad to see the President mentioning Southern Illinois. I was a state senate staffer in 2004 and was with state senator Obama on his first trip to deep south Illinois. In fact, I choreographed it with Dan Shomon who is also mentioned in the article. We took him all over the southern part of the state during that two day trip, even to my home town in deep south Saline County. He won every single county in Southern Illinois in 2004. Those were good times.

Great story, thanks for sharing.

This man is truly class personified. If it were me, I would have been in the fetal position, somewhere in the oval office, because of how dumb Trump is and how fucked the country is. We’re going from this class act to an internet troll. It truly brings me to the brink of tears of every time I think about it.

“noting that Trump was “able to distill the anger and resentment and the sense of aggrievement.””

Thank you Mr President for telling the truth and not trying to say we had let some segment of the white population down somehow.

Thank you for saying it: this election had nothing to do with economics. It was all about a swollen sense of entitlement and grievance that the GOP has been building on for over 30 years.

Now what are we going to do, Mr. President?

Everybody around him probably actually sleeps. Meanwhile Trump is up all night tuning in to InfoWars podcasts and DVR’d Hannity replays from earlier in the day. Maybe the occasional glance at The 700 Club.

When the dust has all settled, Obama’s legacy will be that he was one of the greatest POTUS. It will take time for Donnie et all to screw up for the comparison/contrast to be clear to all. It will be. Give it time.

And I remind people: Donnie’s appointments are not assholes. They are fine examples of “slightly soiled 2 ply human bung-solder”.

I’m looking forward to Obama ‘unleashed’ from the presidency.

He has employees who comb the news for tidbits about him. In his admin, that’ll probably be a larger department than the FDA.

If not for the economic aspect, the Rep party would not have had so much success nursing the sense of grievance. Median wages have been flat for 40 years. The shitkickers may be dumb, but they’re not wrong when they see that the pie is getting bigger, but their piece isn’t…

Thank you for mansplainin it to me.

I’m deeply, deeply envious of you.

But didn’t people who make less than $50,000 vote for Clinton? I agree with @tena. This election was never, ever about economics. It was about grievance and hate.
