America loses because Republicans are intentional idiots and the Republicans will always lose because even if they shutdown the government it is always just a temporary tantrum that results in them giving in and looking stupid, again.
The sequester wasn’t a win because the dummies hurt their #1 constituents as part of the deal. In fact, the whole cost cutting could’ve come from the military and no one would’ve ever noticed except the profiteers.
All this foolishness just so that bozos like Ted Cruz and a few other less popular teabaggers can keep pretending to care about babies and government waste. Ted Cruz personally has cost the US taxpayers nearly a quarter trillion, with a T, dollars. That is about all that you need to know about teabagging and its underlying pretentiousness.

As usual, the Republican effort will backfire and what this portends I’ll say is a bigger landslide Democratic victory in 2016 and beyond.
Not funding the government is very unpopular and doing it because of a very popular program is the dreaded double-whammy.
Crying Wolf has lost its punch and the Repubs have run fresh out of shallow threats to make. Governing gets done without them, see; Obama agenda in action.
Governing for the masses is the Repubs problem, they no likey us common folk or care about us other than to use and abuse us.
God and guns, that’s all they got. Well, possibly some women bashing and abusing also too I guess.

Today’s the day they should be starting on the first appropriation for fiscal 2017. Spend 3 weeks on it. Then 3 weeks on the next one, etc. 12 bills in 36 weeks. That leaves 4 weeks for August recess and a week each for Christmas, New Years, MLK Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans’ Day. Their vacation schedule would still be the envy of the world, and there’d still be 4 weeks left over to rename Post Offices and all the other miscellaneous nonsense.
The President is right; we absolutely deserve better.

What a waste of time and money for a party that claims to be conservative…I was thinking the other day driving by Conservation Rd. near the new huge Cabela’s in NC is a rather interesting juxtaposition in so many ways and it made me think it the same with calling Republicans the conservative party.
I think a better name would be Preservative party because they just want to preserve the way things used to be.
