Discussion: Obama Says He Was 'Encouraged' By Meeting With Trump At White House

There goes that man, Presidenting while black, acting Presidential, the epitome of grace and decorum, holding in his real feelings for the good of the country. We will miss you Mr President, that is for sure.

Part of me wishes that he would have told Trump ‘Go fuck yourself. You’re on your own.’ Obama is a better man than I will ever be.

Seeing a fine man like Barack Obama have to shake hands with a man who once said “grab 'em by the pussy” gives me the shudders. We’re about to go from class to crass, folks.

Dude, you crack me up.

Trump is shitting in his pants. He is overwhelmed. He is just slowly realizing what his job entails. He does even know anyone and does not have a trustworthy relationship with anyone who knows anything about how the government works. I genuinely think he will respect Obama’s counsel far more than from anyone else. All he knows is how to sell stuff to largely ignorant masses. We should all agree that he has shown he can do that.

As a real gesture to heal wounds he should demand that the senate confirm Garland during the lame duck session.

There is no law that compels President Obama to cooperate with that person before the formal hand-over in January. If I were President, I would tell that person: “No transition meetings, no access to the White House, no access to any Air Force planes, no security briefings. Nothing!”

Seeing that that person disdains “traditions,” how could he complain?

Keep that degenerate far away from the Executive Residence until the family is well away from there. I sincerely hope Sasha and Malia will NOT have to be present at the inauguration, either. I’d hate to have them even breathing the same air as this snake.

Dear Donnie

Respect is earned. It does not come with the territory. You and the GOP spent 8 years demonizing President Obama.

You and the GOP now own the Federal Government. The Presidency. The US Senate. The US Congress. The US Supreme Court… Every Federal Agency and employee. You own it ALL: lock - stock - and barrel.

You also own ALL of the problems and I do not think the US public will countenance whining and blaming Obama and the Democrats. Man up. Put on your ‘big boy pants’.

I am past feeling outrage.I have not listened to anything you have said since you were elected. I will not. It is not something that I personally care about. Screw your words. They have been meaningless.

I am stepping back. Crossing my arms. And watching. Watching to see how YOU govern. You WILL have your feet held to the fire.

You railed about Obama’s over reach. You screamed bloody murder about the inability to implement your agenda. You now have NO excuse not to “Make America Great Again”, do you?

Please proceed. And remember that Chinese proverb: “May you live in interesting times.”

Business news out today: GM laying off 2,000 workers in Michigan and Ohio. Let’s see that person reverse those job losses.

Since the goddamn day he came down that escalator there’s never been one indication that he’s given 15 minutes of serious thought to what he’d actually do. He just wanted to be elected.

He’s freakin’ incoherent…stream of (what passes for) consciousness. A special thanks to all those voters in MI, WI, and PA who weren’t ‘enthused’ enough to turn out and vote. Thanks a lot, a$$#0!es.

President Obama is a true gentleman. When you have a guest in your house, you treat him with respect. I think you can look back on the campaign to see how President Obama treated Trump when the latter was not in his house!

Notice the difference in hand sizes…

I suspect one of the first changes the Trumps will make to the White House is the installation of a tanning booth…

I imagine that he is incoherent. I did not tune into that. As I stated above, I did not listen to his victory speech. Not one word since he was elected. Donnie, as I will refer to him rather than by any other moniker… is to me, irrelevant.

Our political system: You and the GOP broke it. You fix it. Keep you bitching and whining to yourself.

I agree about being shell shocked. Even the Great Trump looked humbled by realizing the responsibility he now has walked into…

I think Trump will be President like his brand. Trump makes business dealings puts his name on it and lets others run the business. I read on yahoo finance a writer opined Trump likely will let Mike Pence and Paul Ryan run the gov’t (not that that’s good) and Trump will act as an overseer.

At a certain point Trump will be making decision’s that will put real people’s lives on the line. I wonder how Trump will react when a decision he makes cost someone their life.

He’ll learn

That would make him a politician

Palinesque.

Our current president is a gracious man. I will miss that. A lot.

I agree and I also think Obama is concerned for the country and will do everything he can to help Trump. I also think Obama can’t wait to get the hell outta town. LOL

Commend Obama for being as gracious as the office calls for (and for NOT subjecting us to a happy-happy-smiley-face greeting at the front door), but I sure hope he doesn’t crack a tooth! His face says it all. --------------- I can’t remember, but did the Obamas go visiting the Bushes at the WH two days after the election? Maybe that’s the tradition but it’s all particularly raw this year and they (the Trumps) should know at least that much. Well, maybe not …
