Discussion: Obama Says He Was 'Encouraged' By Meeting With Trump At White House

Indeed. Contrary to contemporary Teatroll doctrine, tapndancing in clown shoes is not sufficient practice.

That’s been evident for awhile. There are many dangerous things about a Trump presidency, but one of them will be he’ll just do whatever the person next to him tells him to do, so when he’s surrounded by the Giuliani’s and the Bolton’s, he’ll be doing their bidding but he’ll wrap it with his own bigotry and hate.

Obama said that Michelle Obama also met with Melania Trump.

I’m sure Malaria gave Michelle some brothel-learned tips on how to please a man. After she showed Michelle where the dancing pole would be installed in the East Room.

ā€œI just had the opportunity to have an excellent conversation with President-elect Trump.ā€

The only way to validate that statement would be for Trump to admit the election really was rigged and he and Pence will not be taking office in January.

I’ve considered it all along. Started considering it more seriously with his acceptance speech. Trump says a lot of things that just aren’t true. We see what he’ll really do once he’s in office. Sounds like Obama got a very different read on Trump spending that time with him. As a President elect, Trump is in the unique position of owing no one except maybe, his supporters.

President Obama is a far, far better man than I am.

Maybe. Or maybe he just understand politics better than most of us.

Exactly. "High-flying assets … " What on earth is he talking about? Intelligence gathering? Drones?

Whatever. I hope he doesn’t wind up being the colossal national disaster I’m expecting. My expectations are very low.

I have a suggestion for President-elect Trump on how he can show his good faith, and willingness to work across the aisle:
Continue the nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.
Yes, I know it won’t happen. But I have some free time on my hands now.

Trump is like a fifth grader in a Gamestop, you could almost feel some sympathy for him, but the reality is that behind this manchild are the most deplorable people in American politics and they are emboldened and see this as their time. This is the Tea Party (and worse) taking control of our country with minimal checks and balances in place.

They don’t give a shit about mandate or popular vote, they are going to do so much damage, let alone signing bills into law, it is truly a crisis. Nobody to defend us, and certainly not the DNC as it is now comprised, or the slew of mealy mouthed centrist Dems in the Senate who are living their comfortable lives in the bubble. We Dems gotta drain our own swamp or this cycle will repeat itself.

I am sorry Mr Obama, but I refuse to make nice with this POS. He is not my President and never will be. NEVER.
I don’t want this ā€œmake niceā€ horseshit to continue. I will not accept it.
We know full well who and what this despicable man is and has been. Letting him have anything to do beyond a tweeter account is endangering the country…
But go ahead and sell us down the river if you feel you must. For me and mine I am selling the farm that my family has held since 1816 and consolidating what we have to try to survive what is coming.
