Discussion: Obama Says He 'Told John Boehner: I'll wash your car, I'll Walk Your Dog'

Discussion for article #230457

The Republicans are furious because an African-American President had the audacity to go against a bunch of White folks from the South (respect to all those good people living there).

"What kind of a precedent does this set for future presidents, Wolf," McCain said in an interview with Wolf Blitzer.

McGrumpy seems to be confused about what is a “precedent” and what is a “president”. The precedent has been set by a long line of presidents, did McSenile but know.

Nothing will ever silence the GOP slur machine. The next Benghazi is always around the nearest corner,

On the bright side, this’ll give McCain something to rail about come Sunday.

CNN went the full FOX-monty with their coverage of this on their website declaring “When Bush couldn’t get immigration reform passed, he gave up. Obama just decided to change the rules.”

God, CNN…can you guys decide who you are??

Good to hear he doesn’t have a dog!

Boehner may not have a dog (probably was bitten too many times, an affliction that follows him), but he does have a black son-in-law (unless things have changed recently).

No wonder he drinks.

And Wolf promptly pointed out that it sets zero precedent. Right?

What, he didn’t do that?

Color me shocked.

You can’t possibly be suggesting that McCain might be running short of things to rail about, can you?

But no matter what McCain rails about, his message is always the same: “I will never forgive that uppity Democrat for beating me at the polls. Oh, and Sarah Palin was a great vice-presidential pick.”

Correction, he doesn’t just have a black son-in-law, he’s got a Jamaican, dreads to his ass, Rastafarian son-in-law who looks like you could get a contact high just by just standing near him. Yeah, an immigrant!

“I told John Boehner: I’ll wash your car. I’ll walk your dog.”

Please tell me I’m not the only one who read the above and immediately thought of a classic line in New Jack City in which Chris Rock’s character is begging for some crack? I can’t be the only sick one around here.

SO Ohbummer LIED.

Eustace, I keep meaning to tell you that at least once a day I laugh myself silly thinking about the name you coined for Obama…Balack Insane Obummer. That’s just hilarious!!!one1!!!

I’m loving Obama’s framing of the situation. While the GOP pretends to be shocked and outraged about what he has done, he keeps telling them that they have the power to undo it. It makes the GOP Congress look impotent if they keep complaining instead of legislating.

If they do try to create legislation, their crazy half likely won’t let them pass anything that doesn’t appear both punitive and expensive. I also would expect it to include some complex scheme aimed at undoing prior executive orders on immigration and/or preventing future orders. The “bipartisan” immigration bill that passed the Senate wasn’t restrictive enough for the GOP class of 2012. The class of 2014 is going to look like a pack of rabid dogs if it takes on immigration reform.

Boehner /ˈbō-nər/ is probably holding out to get his cotton picked.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) likened the move to when then-President Franklin Roosevelt signing an executive order that resulted in the internment of Japanese-Americans.

Senator, go certify yourself.

It’s not like the Republicans were ever going to work with him in a bipartisan way. Unfortunately, the President learned that lesson 6 years too late.
