Okay I am going to apologize for that comment and show you I am not above that. But your comment about his lack of leadership in my opinion is way off base. It is the other party who lacks leadership and has put every roadblock possible and in spite of that he has gotten more done than other recent Presidents before him who did not inherit the shit he has.
Sometimes it seems like Obamaās the only grown-up in the room.
I donāt agree with many of his decisions and positions, but a majority of them I do, and I at least am confident that every decision was thought about carefully and considerately.
I am not a believer. Nonetheless I am praying to whatever gods will listen that none of these gormless, feckless clowns from the GOP become POTUS. My stomach churns when I look at any of them and imagine them in the White House.
Too many Democrats engage these clowns into trying to āout stupidā each other. Obama is way too mature for that. Just let them keep talking, donāt stoop to their level.
That about says it all for me.
Truly. Iāve been far from an Obama fanboy, but Iām damn glad heās POTUS.
I am curious Darcy, if you donāt mind sharing, who are you supporting this time around>
People keep forgetting they are talking to the āNo f**ks left to giveā Obama. Donāt ask if you donāt want to know. Heās still classy about it, but the filter is lifting.
Honestly, Jeb! is right on this one. This happens. On pretty much a weekly basis.
If you really want to know, Bernie Sanders. Last chance for the middle-class.
Jeb! is so dimwitted that he is actually stealing that quote from another equally dimwitted GOPerāthe guy who urged us into invading Iraq: āStuff happensā was a quintessentially horrifying sentence uttered by Donald Rumsfeld.
Jeb! is a true oaf.
āPure GOP talking points. Of course you will now promptly deny it. smhā
Thatās funny but in my case Iāve been saying it here for years. Nothing to deny. Canāt I have an opinion without the āPure GOP talking pointsā?
Call me shocked.
I think that door has been kicked in already.
Obama can now start using the bully pulpit to beat up on the Republicans and a few Democrats for recalcitrance, bone-headed and purely political ends.
Just watch as Iāll bet he really starts revving up criticism of those truly in the wrong.
Sanders, the guy who doesnāt comprehend what a principle is? Who claims the US was āfounded on racist principles,ā when the exact opposite is the case? This guy ought to be smarter. Sure the Constitution included the 3/5 clause (counting slaves as 3/5 to appease the Southern states and get them to sign onto the Constitution rather than sticking with the Articles of Confederation) but that was not a racist founding principle. Our founding principle was the equality of all human beings.
And it was that principle that permitted the whole nation a little over a half century later to get rid of slavery! The man recycles old 60s radicals and everyone who thinks that HRC hasnāt also taken on income equality and restoring the middle class isnāt listening.
LOL. āAnother Bush said some stupid shit? Spare me. What part of āI am out of fucksā do you not understand?ā
Just what are your criteria for determining the leadership characteristics of an individual? As you might suspect my opinion is a far cry from yours and I have seen and served under many who thought the were leaders. This president has demonstrated leadership, compassion, and patience far in excess of any president serving during my long nearly 70 years!
Pfft. You can state whatever principles you want, if your founding document immediately violates those principles, you might want to instead think of them as ārough guidelinesā.
Also, said rough guideline wasnāt equality of all human beings in the least. As can be seen by the lack of representation for women and genocide of the Indians.
I watched the whole thing on C-Span on your recommendation. I share your awe.
I look forward to his post-presidential book.
