Discussion for article #240885
Yawnnnn. Looking for anything to start some shit about.
President Obama is not expected to attend the Clinton Global Initiative next week while he's in New York for the first time since taking office, according to a Politico report Tuesday.
Wow, it’s hard to believe a guy could be president for almost seven years and never visit New York.
Yes, snark.
Politico needs to do its homework. Pres. Obama has made many visits to NYC during his tenure in the White House.
There is no love lost between the Clintons and Obama. And, if Biden runs, you better believe the President will be backing his choice for VP. But, don’t read too much into this.
busy, busy, busy. you left out, laughing his ass off at republicans in congress.
When President Obama said that there should be new blood in the Presidential campaign, that would more or less rule Biden out, wouldn’t it?
I hope you’re kidding. If not, read the sentence again more carefully.
So who does the President support? Biden, his buddy, or Sanders, whose agenda apart from the repudiation of neoliberalism is in accord with what he would have done if not for the staunch racist opposition on the right? (It’ll be interesting to see how they treat a Jew in the White House, given their pretzel logic around Israel, that’s for sure).
I assume cancelling out of the Clinton Global Initiative is part of a broader attempt to maintain the appearance of neutrality in the Presidential nomination contest. I don’t think we’ll be hearing anything from the President about who he supports until the Democratic convention - at which point he’ll announce his support for whoever wins the nomination.
Only if you believe Biden will do as he is told.
