Discussion for article #242892

I guess killing a lot of innocents is o.k. if your a journalist…or a Republican.

The cutaway of Acosta told the tale, he looked embarrassed. If Mr. Acosta wasn’t he and the others should be.

Acosta continued: “I think a lot of Americans have this frustration that they see that the United States has the greatest military in the world, it has the backing of nearly every other country in the world when it comes to taking on ISIS, and I guess the question is – if you’ll forgive the language – why can’t we take out these bastards?”

Jim, Jim - walk your f*cking ass over to the nearest enlistment office and show the world how it’s done! Simple.

“it’s best that we don’t shoot first and aim later”

Or you know, the Bush/Cheney doctrine.

I’m sure his producer or CNN wrote this question, but really, the President had already answered with much detail. I guess Acosta had to get attention with inflammatory language. Please people “let’s not beat the drum of war.” In case you haven’t noticed, that approach has not be working.

Acosta’s question has all the insight of your average fat drunken loudmouth asshole at the corner bar—who can’t climb a single flight of stairs without getting out of breath—demanding to know why his favorite football team can’t just “man up” and obliterate every opponent 63-0.

A reasonable man trying to explain to an unreasonable person. I am so proud of my president who will not bend

I was astonished to read that only 7% of the currently living adult US population has served in the military…

One can only hope. It seems to be the marching orders at CNN, however. I was watching Jake Tapper yesterday and it was right along the same lines.

Basically, these bad excuses for journalists would be the people asking FDR, with a great deal of indignation, on 12/8/41 why we don’t have troops in Tokyo already?

Acosta is a punk who regularly injects snide remarks into his incompetent reporting.

Auditioning for Faux News, I guess.

I’m surprised the press (and GOP) didn’t ask why we don’t just send Iron Man in there and take care of it. Clearly they get their ideas of how to solve these problems from TV and movies. They are probably thinking “how hard can it be to take out ISIS if a bunch of kids can take out paratroopers?”. News flash : Red Dawn, Iron Man, and 24 are not documentaries.

Same mentality that allows a draft dodger to land on a carrier with a mission accomplished banner over his head in a war that went on for another 12 years and cost 4000 American lives . Fuck the faux news fantasy world

why can’t we take out these bastards?

Jesus, the flowers haven’t even had time to grow on the graves of US service members killed in Afghanistan, which initiated in 2002.

“Mr. President, why don’t you just send 100K troops in to “destroy ISIS” like the neocons and beltway pundits want so then when it all goes to hell we can all blame you for your naivete and lack of leadership?” - half of all media

How do they do it when normally they can’t find their expensively covered asses with both hands?

President Obama forgets that saying something succinctly and clearly three times in a row is no indication that the listeners understand it, because most Americans are blood-thirsty simpletons.
