Discussion: Obama Is Relishing His Last Hurrah: Whacking GOPers Down The Ballot

DGAF Obama is a glorious, cathartic thing to behold. I truly hope he keeps at it for many years to come.

EDIT: Btw, check out the Trump burn on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night!

First-Term Obama: Good.
Second-Term Obama: Priceless.

It’s been a long time, for a President of either party.

George W was essentially muzzled by the actions of his own administration. Bill Clinton was considered a handicap. George Sr wasn’t interested, if arguably capable, and Ronald Reagan was debilitated.

It’s been a long time since Democrats have seen the power of presidency.

Since he no longer has to work with them, he no longer has to pretend that they were ever working in good faith, and there is a long, long list for him to draw on. There’s not a republican district or senate seat where he can’t go and call out bullshit.

Isn’t it awesome???

This zinger right here on Marco Rubio:

“How does that work? How can you call him a con artist and dangerous, and object to all the controversial things he says, and then say, ‘but I’m still going to vote for him?’ Come on, man,” Obama said Thursday in Miami. “You know what that is, though? It is the height of cynicism. That’s a sign of somebody who will say anything, do anything, pretend to be anybody, just to get elected.””

Bwaaahahahah!! Suck on that Little Marco! :joy:

It’s good that Obama is showing some passion. He’s been entirely too nice these past eight years. I hope Hillary doesn’t make this mistake. Give them hell.

The shitty part of this is that the R party has cable channels and wide swaths of AM radio to scare their voters into voting for them while we just have one man to convince voters of the truth. It’s a daunting task IMO.

2014 was the worst year… when dems were running like rats away from a very capable politician… and a nice guy to boot. Glad he is finally unleashed. Will miss him.

GOP candidates are low-hanging pinatas. Whack 'em again until ALL the candy falls out!

More than just one man - the candidate herself, Tim Kaine, POTUS, FLOTUS, VEEPUS, and the odd celeb. But you’re right, no fright TV or radio.

This is going to be a really great legacy from his presidency.

Obama unchained. No more Mr. Nice Guy – at least to the Republicans who have tried to thwart him at every turn over the past 8 years. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.

Whack away, Mr. President, whack away!

Barack Unchained, I love it.

Well said. Let me also add:

“Estos cabrones saben lo que hicieron. Sus acciones pertenecen a ellos mismos”

Maybe Michelle and Oprah and this funny guy can produce something akin to a diametric opposite media form to Trump TV?

Friday Night With The President? …a variety/politics show that keeps whackin’ those gopers ad infinitum?

The First Lady on Sesame Street? or something like that.

If you think I’m joshin’ you’d be quite mistaken.

And if you think Barrack Obama should be a Supreme Court Justice because it would give him enduring influence, his leavening would fit better and have a much more profound influence as a professor/entertainer and, I would wager for his benefit, a profoundly more enjoyable future.

Anyone who thinks that the media doesn’t represent enduring and profound influence has been sleeping through the information age.
