Discussion for article #244597
Probably his best SOTU, and he has had some great ones. Brilliant. Too bad we canāt repeal that Amendment about only getting two terms.
Nikkiās response might be goodā¦others can decideā¦her lack of eye contact with me in the camera demonstrates how āout of touchā she and GOP leaders are. She was terrible compared to the Obamaās historic speech.
Agreed.
He did a great of dispelling the horrendous negative fog that the GOP (not to mention the NYT) has tried to cast over him. Imagine the NYT having its āexpertsā decide whether Obama was just a disappointment or a disaster!! The man has already made the whole world a better place.
Iām sure the Americans watching him had no idea about the number of jobs created under him, the rollback in carbon pollution, the strengthening of the auto and green energy industriesāand the cutting of the deficit. Haley is out there lying like a rug about the ACA 'raising premiums and cutting doctor choices."
Great president!
Yet NPR and CBS (didnāt see NBC) panned his speech and attacked his motivation, claiming the speech was a nonstop attack on the republicans, as understand them.
Let me correct thatā¦ I was referring to public tv not radio
Huh? Sorry, absolutely not the case.
As he said when the RWNJs said he wants to usurp the Constitution and run again for a third term, āYou have not met my wifeā.
And you know that is true, I just hope he gets out of the job alive.
In his apropos Presidential style, Barack was working for the Democratic Party in this speech. He knows better than anyone what this next election means and he also knows that his successor will have a huge impact, post partum, on his legacy.
Plus, I believe the guy loves his country and just like us, doesnāt want the wrecking crew getting another shot at tearing it all down.
The state of the union after the last eight years is awesome by comparison to where we were under dumbdumb Bush. The state of the state house is where we are hurting.
Barack can stand tall, taller really, because his record stands on itās own and the haters hating on that fact, doesnāt change it.
One More Year ; ) ! Then, Eight More years!
The biggest insult, as far as I could tell, was that Alito, Scalia, and Thomas didnāt appear to be there. What the hell is wrong with them?
Iām sure no Democratically appointed justice would ever do this, but I almost wish they would. Almost.
NPR!
YES! FUCKKING NPR!!!
The SOTU wasnāt yet over a minute old before they had McMorris-Rodgers and Scalise saying how devisive and out of touch the Prez isā¦
THATāS ON U, NPR!!!
