Just imagine how having President Obama as UN Sec Gen would play with the RW conspiracy types who think that the UN is trying to take over the world. Surely, the UN police would come to take your guns away the same day Pres. Obama assumed his new duties. Talk about RW fever dreams.

Nasty Obama! Smeagol hates him forever!
Pretty sure it would get a US security council veto.

While I can certainly understand Obama’s wish to continue enjoying his still-young status as a private citizen, he has certainly earned it. But the former President is possessed of a talent, a gentility, an intellect, a vision, and a moral compass that would greatly benefit the world as a whole as well as our country were he to assume a role on the world stage. Perhaps UN Secretary-General or some other post, but we should encourage him to consider this.

Of course, should Obama take on such a prominent post, it would drive the current occupant of the White House to distraction, even more so than the jackass already is.

Since this article is coy about the websites with this info, is it safe to assume they’re right-wing propshops running with rumors from Phil’s patio down the block?

The referenced article loses something in translation. It is much, much more convincing in the original Cyrillic.

Bannon’s preview for his next platform to scare the hard right to grift and pretend that he is someone powerful and important?

Or 4chan yanking chains?

Or Russian destabilization project?

Pssst - clean up crews are needed in basements housing computers across red america - cause = exploding heads.

I don’t know. Take a look.

Important historical context: No American has ever been Secretary-General and that is not an accident.

Pretty safe bet I’d say. Paranoid style as well as factual and logical errors kind of give it away without much need to delve into what little substance the content might possess.

Interesting combination of RW spin and conspiracy alongside real news.

And I quote:

“If we go back to Russia we will die in Russian’s prison or they will kill us. This is very serious. … Please USA help us not to die from Russians!”

And:

“I know a lot. I’m waiting for your offers and I’m waiting for you in a Thai prison.”

This is not a person who has thought things through.

I might bite if this were a Nigerian Prince, or a Spanish Prisoner, but I’ve lost all trust in Russians, even the pretty ones…

A story appearing on more than two dozen websites says Obama is seeking the job “to advance his globalist agenda on the world stage.”

Which websites issued this story? That’ll tell you whether it’s wishful thinking or just somebody’s dog-whistle.

And not to make too fine a but the Secretary General cannot be nominated from one of the five permanent members. So even if Obama wanted it he couldn’t be nominated.
