Stack Barry up against Reagan, pros and cons, damages and benefits, then decide what a man should be judged by. Or at least, remembered by.
Pretty much. We went to Canada for a weekend in August and stayed at a B and B. One morning, we met a couple from Toronto, and I said I was surprised that a man like Ford could be elected because Canadians as a whole seem smarter (or maybe I see too many stories about ignorant Americans).
The wife mentioned Marion Barry. She also said that the poorer areas around Toronto are filled with people who thought he was God, telling them what they wanted to hear and promising he’d make things better.
I don’t know much about either guy’s record on making life better for the people they represented.

Well, like they say, speak no ill of the (recently) dead.
Except Dick Cheney if his pact with the Dark One ever expires, that is. I’ll totally be speaking ill of that murdering, torturing motherfucker the day he dies. If he dies.
Pandering, and disgusting. Did BHO ever invite the ex-con over for dinner? Marion Barry validated every racist’s prediction of what happens when you allow blacks to wield power. He was a disgrace. He had no redemptive story— he learned nothing from his misdeeds. Blacks should no more mourn him than whites should mourn Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, or Louis Goehmert when they meet their well deserved too long delayed (and peaceful— I am not advocating anyone hasten their fates) ends— they are all race baiters, blaming persons of another color for their own shortcomings. They all disgust me.
Reagan ended the cold war— Barry smoked crack with a whore.

Ebolicans only remember meaningless one-liners that sound cool. “Tear down this wall” must mean Reagan ended the Cold War because that’s all their puny minds can process.
