The stories that I’ve read say that they don’t believe that the new shooting incidences are related. Does anyone believe that?
There are still protests going on at the police station. Darren Wilson hasn’t faced justice and all of the upper crust of the department still have their jobs. The community isn’t going to forget and they shouldn’t. If anything, the total lack of trust is worse if that is possible.
At the end of, A time To Kill, Matthew McConaughey asks the jurors to close their eyes, gives his closing remarks regarding the terrible things that the young black girl had been put through, then says, imagine that she was white.
That line will always apply. Imagine if they were white and maybe add in, imagine if the cops weren’t all white.
