No: it won’t. The Donald is incapable of calmly and maturely responding to any crisis or circumstance, no matter how favorable it might seem to be for him. This is a dark day but HRC will win.
I truly hope we see someone step up as a true leader to begin the process of unifying those who are willing. We need a person of stature and integrity who will unify, not divide, who will help the nation heal, not stoke fear and divisiveness. It won’t be Trump. I guarantee you that.
I would like to think so, however, there is a substantial number who still believe that a woman could not be strong, that she would allow her emotions into a response mix. The Dumpster already is trying to emulate El Duce with his strong arm rhetoric. There are any number who would welcome the “strong man” as a solution. More would welcome anyone making promises to return people to an era that never existed but one where they “were in control”.
I hope I am 1000% incorrect…I will need to see reactions of both the public as well as The Dumpster over the next few days/week before I’ll feel comfortable.
If the past is a guide, his staff is probably advising him to be calm and measured but it is unlikely that The Donald will be able to restrain himself from making some reckless tweet or public statement.
Actually, his response was completely fine yesterday (he tweeted a longer facebook post).
However, it was obviously not written by him.
He can’t keep his foot out of his mouth, we’ll see what his real response is over the next few days.
