Discussion for article #236602
With all due respect to the “retired admiral” - CONGRESS needs to appropriate the funds.
Unfortunately, Congress is filled with far too many (corporate funded) climate denialists.
Isn;t it interesting that a story on climate change gets two comments, But Bill O’Reilly gets 100s.
The situation is worse than you you think. I am not optimistic and I’m starting to be be glad I don’t have any grandchildren.
Yet here we are. The fact is, on our current trajectory, in the absence of substantial new climate policy, we are heading for up to 4°C and maybe higher by the end of the century. That will be, on any clear reading of the available evidence, catastrophic. We are headed for disaster — slowly, yes, but surely.
“The only way the world is going to prevent the worst effects of climate change is to put most Texans in FEMA camps.”
