Darcy, that has been tried in the past. At this moment in time, there is no way in Hell something like that would even get a committee hearing in either house of Congress. There are just too many feckless water-carriers and others who are just fucking scared of the NRA and their deep pockets. Sad, but true. We must work around the edges right now. That said, I agree with you ā the gun manufacturers need to be held accountable for their marketing practices and their reluctance to integrate safety measures in their products. They have lots of blood on their hands and in those deep pockets ā as do so many in Congress, on both sides of the aisle (though the Republicans are swimming in blood).

The word āMajorityā is what should be emphasized in my previous post. We know that christian parents are the ones who are raising these criminals within our society. Often times, personal tragedies do begin in the church and where innocence is robbed, in the name of religion.
We need to go beyond ātoleranceā and be teaching āacceptanceāā¦ that LGBT people are equals under the law and valued members of our society.
I honor the god that embraces all other gods but calling such people Christians might be a stretch even if some of them think they are Christian. Because they fail the litmus test. Just meeting on Sundays with others who share oneās beliefs doesnāt cut it.
