How perfect.
Bravo, Mr. President! And all my love to Uncle Joe. How we’ll all miss you guys.
Joe wasn’t the only person brought to tears. My wife and I got choked up, too.
Friggin’ brought me to tears too !! …
I need to take a few moments …
President Obama and Vice-President Biden are just so genuine in terms of their humanity. No one is perfect, and there are areas where we might disagree politically with the actions of each of them, but they are men whose intentions were honest and devoted to the public good.
I’m just reading about it and getting teary-eyed.
Well, these guys will still be working to make things better. We have to keep fighting right there with them.
“To know Joe Biden is to know that love without pretense, service without self-regard…”
So, the Anti-Trump.
Cool!
reacted with shock when Obama ended his speech by giving Biden the medal.
Joe looks genuinely shocked and surprised in that photo.
Hard to believe they will be gone in a week or so. And the mere thought of 3:00 AM calls makes me feel sick now – we won’t have any night of sleeping like a baby for the next four years.
a grateful Nation salutes you…
stay thirsty my friend
Can we get some video please? I dropped in halfway through and Biden was really bringing it. Man, I’m going to miss those two, especially considering the Category 5 shit storm coming our way.
A bromance for the ages. Trump and Putin could never.
This feels like one of the few chances to comment on something positive that we’ll have in the next few years. Mr. Biden, you have been a class act.
Dammit Joe…you’ve made me cry…and I’m at work. I am so happy for you. You deserve every accolade we can bestow. You are simply the best. Thank you.
Has anyone caught a whiff of impropriety in the Obama/Biden administration or in their personal lives?
Didn’t think so!
Didn’t Obama once order brown mustard on a hot dog or something? I know there was some kind of anti-european outrage about something like that…
Not on the level of what’s coming
Well, that was a tear jerker!
It will be years, and maybe never again, before we see this kind of deep friendship, true affection, mutual respect between our two top leaders, and a president with the generosity and grace of President Obama.
What a moment… both for the President to be able to reward his friend for many years of dedicated service, and for Joe to receive it in the spirit with which it was given. Bravo!
These Were the Days, my friends…
We hope they’d never end…
