Discussion: Obama At G20: What Happened In Paris Is 'An Attack On The Civilized World'

Discussion for article #242867

“As was true with the terrible attacks that took place in Ankara, the killing of innocent people based on a twisted ideology is an attack not just on France, not just on Turkey, but it’s an attack on the civilized world,” Obama said.

So true, President Obama. I hope the world reacts in a forceful yet thoughtful and civilized manner.

There is a story floating around that Obama and Putin privately and unannounced put their heads together for 35 minutes or so. Nobody is talking about what they talked about.

Putin is a pretty bright guy and one who is also very concerned with how he is viewed back home. This attack on Paris was a lot closer to home and many Russians love Paris, so it hit close to their hearts. Like everyone else, they need reassurance they will be kept safe. If only from behind the scenes, I believe we will have more cooperation from Russia now. That’s not to say Mr. Putin will not be an ass from time to time–at least in public–but he has a lot at stake here as well.

Yes , war is uncivilived. We bomb them, they strike back but they are uncivilived and we are WHAT.

Right. Don’t forget the Russian jetliner that ISIS appears to have taken down with a bomb. Putin’s interest in defeating ISIS may now have superseded that of asserting Russian influence in Eastern Europe and the Mid East because the former poses a greater near term threat to his Russian mobster regime.

On MSNBC a little bit ago they showed some footage of Obama and Putin talking on the sidelines of the G20 summit.

Yes, it is an attack on the civilized world but especially the coalition against ISIL and very especially against those that have currently gotten into the fight.

This is just the jihadists doing what they do and have done since at least 9/11, provoke and destroy. They successfully antagonize the superpowers of the world and bring us all down to their level.
It’s time to quit tippy toeing and dive in. Viet Nam wasn’t won because we weren’t actually trying to win and Puppet Bush didn’t win in Afghanistan on purpose. We can go after ISIL, basically wipe them out and leave if we commit, or we can dance around for ten or twelve more years and be right back where we started.
This is like the lesson that many people learn about bullies, you have to hit them in the nose and not back down or they’ll come at you even harder.

This sucks and we are losing options rapidly. Rather than infuriate the rest of the Muslim world, we need to team up with them and take away one of the biggest advantages that ISIL has.

So, here is a photo of O shaking hands with the ISIS facilitator-in-Chief, Erdogan. Sad.

Here is what The Facilitator stated after those Kurds were killed by two ISIS suicide bombers in Ankara: “This incident shows how terror is implemented collectively. This is a completely collective act of terror and it includes ISIS (Islamic State), PKK, the mukhabarat, and the terrorist group PYD from north of Syria,” Erdogan said.

Both the PKK and the Syrian PYD (=YPG, military arm) are fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria!

“This is an attack on the civilized world” is obviously secret Kenyan-Muslimese for “This is a glorious victory for Allah and the Islamic State, congratulations my Islamic State brothers, on behalf of all Americans I bow down before you.”

Until he stops pussyfooting around with this “attack on the civilized world” stuff and starts clearly saying “attack on civilization” there is no way we can defeat the terrorists, and he knows it!

Sincerely,

The People’s Front of Judea.

So, were the suicide bombs in Beirut just an attack on the “uncivilized world”?
