I was wondering when someone would introduce Mel Brooks into the conversation. Good on you.
No, no, no! Thatâs entirely the wrong approach!
What you do is go back in time and grab the priest who saved Hitler from drowning as a child by the robe, and tell him to just let nature take itâs course. More natural, and you wonât have the trauma of killing a baby to live with, But that just means that eventually weâll have to deal with Ernst Rhom, or some other NAZI thug who might be (shudder) even crazier and more homicidal than Hitler.
The âpro-lifeâ crowd has zero problem killing Baby Hitler.
They support legislation, however, to protect Zygote Hitler, Blastocyst Hitler, and Embryo Hitler.
This is a great idea as it creates an unlimited number of opportunities. Try, try again; kill, baby, kill.
Well look at the districts theyâre from.

Grownup Hitler would have killed me, and actually did kill some distant relatives. Makes the question much easier to answer.
Nailed it.
I have to agree. If it hadnât been Hitler, it would have been someone else. The conditions were ripe for the rise of those people.
Then I look at the current crop of conservative republicans and their followers. Not a happy view.
christ⌠wtf is going on at the times⌠yesterday the twitter machine blew up when one of their political reporters, michael barbaro, revealed he didnât know how cspan worked:
CSPAN screen encouraging Democrats to call one phone number and Republicans to call another to react to this hearing isâŚtelling

.
If youâre going back in time anyway, donât kill âbaby Hitlerâ just get the little fu*ker better art teachers.
What if:
Instead of killing âBabyâ Hitler
you rewrote the Treaty of Versailles
using the time machine you have?!
.
Just a suggestion
Unfortunately, I think that Hitlerâs evil was pretty much perfectly ordinary. Virulent antisemitism and territorial chauvinism were rife in German culture. And there was a lot of resentment in Germany related to the terms of the Versailles treaty and the economic situation. The situation was ripe for the rise of a dictator.
I think that may be true to some extent, but it still required Hitler in particular the get the exact outcome we did. All those factors were present in other countries as well but while fascist dictators came to power in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, etc., they didnât initiate genocides. Antisemitism was embedded in German culture but it was much more deeply inflamed by the Nazis themselves. If Hitler had been out of the picture I think Germany would have ended up with someone more like Mussolini, and there may well have still been a war but it would have been a very different one without a Holocaust.
Well, the thing is, events only happen once. FWIW, as someone pointed out on Twitter, someone already wrote a story about this, in which the person kills baby Hitler and the grieving parents adopt another child - who grows up to be the actual Hitler.
Wait a frigginâ minute! Shouldnât you go back and murderizeâ the Grossmufti Haj Amin al-Husseini ? Bibi told the world just the other day that al-Husseini convinced Adolph to exterminate the Jews! SoâŚal-Husseini was the idea man; Der FĂźhrer vazâ âjust following orders.â
SeeâŚyou were gonnaâ kill the wrong baby! Tsk, tsk, tsk!
(*Oh, and before the ârealâ history lesson, let me just say that I know the ârealâ history.)
Nanking votes: Yes
If you can go back in time and stand before the baby Hitler, with perfect knowledge of baby Hitlerâs future, what youâre doing is being a god. And human beings arenât gods and shouldnât ever act or think like gods. Unfortunately, the effect of so many dumb movies and TV shows is to make a lot of people think they can act and think like gods. The viewpoint of most movies is in fact a divine viewpoint and I believe it does infect our thinking.
You see that with people who think the government has a right to torture terrorists and even suspected terrorists. They think everything is known, just like in a TV show or a movie. So of course they think âmoral clarityâ demands that we torture to prevent terrorist attacks. But in fact no such thing as âmoral clarityâ ever really exists in real life, simply because we are such limited and non divine beings.
No way manâŚyouâd get more money from the researchers for his parts if heâs still kickinâŚ
Way to trivialize the Holocaust and the 40 million people this fuckerâs war killed.
