Discussion: NYT: White House Economic Adviser Gary Cohn Plans To Resign

No one could have imagined that a bankrupt ideology, led by an expert at bankruptcy, would bankrupt our country.

He is now free to spend more time with his family. He can start off by explaining to them how it felt to stand there, mute, while the buffoon in cheif defended the “good people” who mobbed the streets of Charlottesville chanting “Jews will not replace us.”

Stormy or Karen can step in.
They seem to be good with money.

Good points, all, dangoodbar. But it may not be that Fat Nixon will actually start a trade war that has Cohn running for the door. It could just be his constant threats and flip flopping that Cohn can’t be bothered with anymore. No sane human being can sustain that kind of idiocy for long.

Economy lookin’ good? Take all the credit! Economy fucked up and tanking? It’ll always be someone else’s fault.

Don’t know and, frankly, don’t care at this point. Every job in this badmin is a temp job at best. No one can stand him for more than a few months.

Actually, i think there is an equal or greater possibility that folk in the WH got wind that something BIG is about to happen, and they want to get as far away as possible as fast as they can. T rump is quickly becoming toxic.

Rachel’s gonna need a third column and she’ll just be a little talking head in the corner as she tries to keep track of the exits. I’m picturing Clippy from the old, old version of MS Office.

I miss that little guy…

I agree. Would we trust Germany, UK or France if they had elected Trump? We have taken a deserved hit and will need years to rebuild trust.

Oh, I don’t know. Republican’ts seem to be, by nature and to a man, arrogant enough to believe that they are special and the rules don’t apply to them. So count on plenty of “respectable” Republican’ts to step up to the plate and willingly make themselves Trump’s next wraithing victim…

How true! How can any country’s negotiators ever sit with a US representative for any trade deal when the orange pumpkin changes his mind daily?
