And now a People Magazine reporter… She was interviewing him at Mar a Lago, he closed the door behind them and pushed her against a wall and shoved his tongue down her throat, and fortunately the butler came in to say his wife was on the way down.
I get a really different vibe about Tiffany’s relationship with her father and her choice to maintain distance. This is a man with a pending suit in civil court for raping a 12- or 13-year-old. I’ll just leave it there…
Quite a bit. A big part of the issue here is, Trump actively fights transparency…on EVERY issue. The intensive NDAs, the long history of litigating even a hint of breaking them, the refusal to release not only tax returns, but pretty much all financial data. The refusal to release info on his foundation. Going to court to keep his divorces sealed. Even trivial BS like John Barron and John Miller pseudonyms.
All of that and more, makes it very difficult for factual reporting requiring secondary and teritary confirmation to actually occur. Does NBC have a problem for not releasing the Billy Bush tape? You betcha…a big one. But as others have pointed out…there is a profit motive/problem for them…namely, Bush and their products look just as horrible as Trump does. And that’s another way Trump works, people who have dirt on him have just as much to lose as he does.
Eichenwald’s story a few weeks back on Trump’s international business ties is a great example. Those ties have been out there for years…decades in some cases. And it didn’t require a great deal of investigation to find them. But the story doesn’t really tell all that much because Eichenwald ran head first into the Trump Wall of secrecy…no tax returns to verify, all private businesses, so very little public financial data to go on and people in bed with Trump who stand to lose a lot too. All of that can eventually be gotten around…but it takes time and money to do so.
The piece in Politico from today (sorry too tired right now to find and link it) from the long-time Trump experts is very good and does address this point along the way. (I can’t remember, though, if they had any explanation beyond “huge ego” and “reckless.”)
Oh man….at the rate these women are coming out of the woodwork, Hill will need more than one row of seating for them.
There is ANOTHER story coming out of People magazine about his taking a reporting into a room, closing the door behind him, pinning her against the wall and then “shoving his tongue down [her] throat”. Until his butler burst in to tell him that Melania - remember, newlywed and newly pregnant - was on her way down for the interview.
ETA @ghost beat me to it!
Just heard that. You can’t make that shit up….the picture of who this guy is, seems completely authentic.
**“those people”…
Heir Orange Anus now claims to be “unshackled”, as if someone removed chains on his behavior.
It would be much more accurate to imply that someone removed the hinges on the gate to his mind.
Let’s not forget the brave women that has brought the rape case to federal court
Wow. What mixed emotions. This is sure to take him down, and for that I’m happy. But I feel so disgusted in him, and so bad for these women. Wow.
Look how Ivanka is pulling her arm in, close to her body, almost as if to defend herself.
I’ve been lucky, and only had one incident that left me feeling that way. I was in college, a pretty actress, coming out of a side-door of the Theater building, books in hand, walking up the steps. Some guy was coming down the steps and reached out and squeezed my breast, laughed, and kept walking. I stopped and stood there, shocked. And 40 years later, I still remember it and how helpless it made me feel. And still feel guilty about it because I didn’t react, and didn’t tell anyone about it, because what could anyone do? I can only imagine how people who have been raped or more significantly assaulted feel.
Have you checked out Kelly Oxford’s Twitter feed? Use the hashtag #notokay, and read the millions of stories posted about how women are sexually assaulted and how old they were. As others have stated it’s hard for women to talk about this, it’s even harder when your family doesn’t believe you.
Okay….so many new stories coming out now. He’s done, I think. I hope.
I saw a newscaster almost lose it on Lawrence O’Donnell tonight, because she suddenly started remembering something similar that happened to her. I, too, remember a situation in my youth, in which a slimeball like Trump tried to take advantage of me. I got out of it, but I remember being careful to do it in a way that would save face for him. I was young and needed the work and he was in a position of power. And, times were different. I have never forgotten that. I have a feeling the floodgates have opened on Donny boy. May it be the final straw.

Therapist to Chair: “Show us on the doll where he touched you.”
On the Last Word there was a guy who used to be with the Village Voice was saying the Trump and Stone have been planning on him running for President for 30 years…30 years of lewd, rude, and crude behavior with the goal of running for President. Let that one define hubris.
Yeah…I just mentioned it too after seeing it breaking on twitter. This isn’t going to stop anytime soon, the gates have been opened
and now it’s time for a payback they can’t stop.
A great turn of phrase.
