Discussion: NYT: Trump's 'Prodigious' TV Watching Habits Are 'Ammunition' For His Tweets

Said it before but “I’m reading documents a lot,” Jesus that’s pathetic. When he talks about presidenting he sounds like a 14-year-old boy talking about women. He’s seen photos of real Presidents holding sheets of paper in their hands and he knows “documents” is sort of a fancy word for serious stuff on pieces of paper. And that’s the best he can do, that’s as specific as he can get, when he talks about his work. After a year, by the way. Unbelievable.

Too bad he doesn’t watch Al Jazeera, BBC, or NHK World for a more broad perspective to see how his “policies” are inflaming the world. Today a reporter was commenting on Pence’s reference to the bible, and responded with “The Bible?! That hasn’t been a consideration for 300 years!”

"They accuse me of watching too much TV, and it’s a vicious lie!

All the channels are saying the same thing, and I know because I spend all day watching them all."

Maybe as much as eight hours of TV a day, has 5-6 hours of sleep, wakes to start tweeting again and watch all over again. It could have been predicted based on his behavior during the campaign. His supporters, all 30% of them, think it’s normal. Now I’ll sit back and wait for the “Haberman bad” remarks, 3, 2, 1, criticize.

He needs a “mother” to turn the TV and the lights off when he goes to bed, to wash his mouth with soap when he lies(he would be blowing bubbles with every breath) and to teach him some manners.

Speaking of that, someone on Twitter pointed out (I didn’t read the whole thing, important soup-making responsibilities today) that he seems to sleep alone and spends zero minutes a day with Barron. Bit askew there family-life-wise.

I do as well, especially this time of year. But I’m usually drinking wine and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

He loves having people in for dinner at the WH and his favorite meal is straight out of a 1960’s chain restaurant.

well-done steak, salad slathered with Roquefort dressing and bacon crumbles, tureens of gravy and massive slices of dessert with extra ice cream.

There is no mention of either Barron or Mel, and for those reasons I’m conflicted about beating up on her. A boy needs his father, but all this one gets is a strong mother.

His waitline is proof of his high fat diet.

Thrush is listed as one of the reporters for this story.

Isn’t he suspended from the NYT for sexual misconduct?

I’m sorry for Barron and have no particular feelings either way on Melania. She seems lost and miserable. If they’re most of what each other has in life then at least there’s that. She’s not our problem right now.

It says his contributions were prior to the suspension.

How can you tell? She only has one facial expression programmed.

A big piece like this can take a long time.

Maybe the research began when Thrush hadn’t been suspended, and reporting protocol is to include those who contributed to the story.

A boy needs his father, not one like his, Melania only needs to look at Donald, Jr., Eric and Ivanka to know enough to keep Barron far away like Marla figured out.
