Discussion: NYT: Sanders To Lay Off At Least Half Of Campaign Staff

I know it’ll be painful if you give it up, but do it anyway.

If you wait it’ll be worse for you when you finally do.

The party’s over Bernie, drink up and go home…

There’s a serious typo in the headline. That should be ALL instead of “At Least Half Of.”

Eh, D.C. gets the shaft on every single election ever. If Senator Sanders wants to go have a rally or two to let the residents of the District air their issues (which are often unique, and are completely legitimate, like the way they have no real say in their own administration) on his way back to work in the Senate, let him. The people of D.C. deserve to be heard a hell of a lot more often than they are. It’s not gonna change a damn thing, and he knows it.

Let’s just hope the half getting laid off include Jeff Weaver. What a douche.

I’m good with that, as long as he stops attacking the nominee.
However, I fear he won’t.

I agree. No matter what he is planning through July, there is no need for anything but a skeleton crew after tonight.

But…I suppose we should keep in mind that he laid off a large number of them after NY, so half may be just a skeleton crew at this point.

He’s been laying off staff for a while now, not to mention staff have left of their own accord. So how many full timers does he have now? Eight? Ten? Does this mean Jane gets a pink slip? Will she get another golden parachute too??? Inquiring minds want to know.

I started out seriously considering this guy but I gave grown to loathe him.

Of course he’s laying them off so they can look for work on the Clinton campaign. This is very routine although so many of his gullible young supporters will no doubt be surprised and even heart broken.

Yeah, he started reminding people why liberal became a pejorative.
Hint: It wasn’t the policies.

If Hillary beats Bernie in California I hope the bern surprises us all and concedes to night so that we can turn the fight full blown against the racist donald chump.

And all of them, as they walked out the door with their heads down, muttered, “But he has a path to victory…He told us…”

I’m good with just one layoff - Jeff Weaver.

It’s time he went back to the comic books.

Nina Turner is on MSNBC again. I will be so glad not to have to see and hear her spouting for awhile. Totally incapable of recognizing that part of “the Clintons’” pull in the African American community has to do with her loyal service to the Obama Administration, after losing the nomination to him in 2008. Now she is moaning that the Democrats need to allow un registered people to vote in their primaries. What an ungracious person.

As a life-long fan of comic books, I would never shop at his store. I don’t need a condescending prick judging the books I buy.

Turner’s been a singularly strident and discordant voice tonight, yeah. Waiting to see how the Senator himself handles this.

Not just tonight. She is totally on the make, too.

Politico has a story sourced to Sanders campaign “aides” that goes into detail about Bernie being the one who is behind all the nastiness, including the response to NV debacle. Rot started at the top. I am not surprised. He comes off as a petty, nasty old man.
