It is too early for immunity deals. but eventually a deal might make sense. If this guy stays alive for 6 months is the proof of whether he tells the truth. Putin’s personal motto is “dead mean tell no tails.”
Yeah, they paid attention to the wrong character on the Peanuts Christmas special:
*Sally: Please note the size and color of each item, and send as many as possible. If it seems too complicated, make it easy on yourself: just send money. How ‘bout tens and twenties?
They should have gone with:
Lucy: incidentally, I know how you feel about all this Christmas business, getting depressed and all that. It happens to me every year. I never get what I really want. I always get a lot of stupid toys, or a bicycle, or clothes, or something like that.
Charlie: What is it you want?
Lucy: Real Estate.
Wouldn’t trust that guy as far as I could throw him.
I think we have a money problem, too. Both the Congressional investigations and Mr. Mueller’s investigation need to be funded and funded well, and none of them are being provided sufficient funds and resources.
Other than hard line investigators, they need top notch, independent forensic accountants. People who know how to determine if book keeping entries are legitimate and experience in ‘following the money’. People who know what dots to look for and how to connect them.
If the Democratic Party wanted to do something for this country, and knowing this Congress won’t fund the investigations, they Party should provide the independent funding so the committees can hire the best. I would gladly contribute to that fund.
Short of that, we must continue to call our Congressman and insist on providing the funding necessary.
Really? An oligarch in Putins inner circle wants immunity? Either Donny is getting thrown under the bus, or the FSB thinks the DOJ is as stupid as US voters.
