Victoria Toensing, DiGenova’s wife, represents former Trump campaign co-chair Sam Clovis; Erik Prince, the Blackwater CEO and informal Trump adviser who reportedly met with a Russian businessman in the Seychelles early last year; and and an informant in the Uranium One conspiracy theory pushed by conservatives.
Trump hires the people who give lawyers a bad name and provide fodder for joke writers.
Joe diGenova is a former Assistant Attorney General AND U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. What a sad end to his career.
I heard a grownup lawyer IRL just a couple of months ago describe another lawyer’s approach as “imaginative and resourceful.” He got a good laugh because it was meant as a friendly insult. Trump seems to specialize in hiring lawyers who take such approaches. Being guilty doesn’t leave you much choice there.

Well, this was just a matter of time. DiGenova and his wife, Toensing, are world-famous legal system abusers who have spent the past 30+ years trying to use the courts to attack Dems, especially the Clintons, and get rulings that “prove” their RWNJ conspiracy theories.
The good thing about this is that he can only manage to make it worse for Trump.

More like he’s a batshit crazy partisan who has no ethical compunctions with abusing the system in service of the GOP and “the end of his career” was 30 or so years ago when he started pushing this exact kind of crap. They’ve pushed birtherism, Benghazi and Uranium One conspiracies as well. It pretty much never ends with them. They’re the GOP’s go-to couple for taking a conspiracy theory to a carefully shopped-for judge that will rule in a way that the GOP can use to say the conspiracy has wings.
I think pretty soon his lawyers will realize their only choice is to start shooting him with tranquilizer darts, like a rhino. Give everybody some peace and quiet now and then.
Nah trump can’t find a reputable attorney so he is only left with crazy loons willing to represent him eventhough they won’t get paid
