Ohio 12 is listed as an R+7 district and was considered safe with an incumbent. Be interesting to see how Cook rates it as an open seat.
It’s listed as R+7. The Democratic candidate would need to really turn out the white college grad vote.
Very interesting. This was a relatively safe seat for republicans (Cook has it as R+7). Tiberi has always won by double digits. Now there are 3 Democrats in the primary for it.
I think the internal polling, nationwide, that GOP strategists are looking is must be a lot worse than we think. Likewise the fundraising must be a lot more dismal than we think, too.
A little over a month ago, the congressman was named the chair of the newly-minted “Republican Main Street Caucus,” dedicated to “governing” and “getting things done,” USA Today reported at the time.
The link in the above quote is really shitty. All it is is a mish mash or articles and gateway gossip tidbits. Not really organized and I still didn’t see a mention of this guy being named chair of that Main Street Caucus silliness.

Yikes, Looks like that was all lip service and he decided he wasn’t so focused after all.
Perhaps if more Repubs banded together and stopped enabling or turning a blind eye to stupid shit like what trump is doing, we can start to heal after years of divisiveness. Instead, they aided a lot of it by being silent or actively contributing to the birther bullshit, which gave rise to that asshole trump. Their complicity is a big reason we are in this mess today. They won’t change because they are all about themselves.
Anyway, goodbye and good riddance to Tiberi.
Its listed as R+7. To give some context to that number, GA-06 is listed as R+8. And while Tiberi has easily won every election there, his margins have always been considerably less than Price’s were in GA-06.
Good candidate, strong campaign organization, and a decent flow of money and yeah…I think its flippable.
What a bunch of losers. These guys have exactly what they built. And now that they are charged with governing, they can’t handle it. I guess it was a lot easier for them when they got paid to sit around and bit*h about Obama.

Perhaps purely coincidental but so far all of the announced resignations are from states that Tramp carried last year.

No, we aren’t. We are talking about the OH-12 district and people. Probably with some help from the DCCC. But the DNC is not involved in any of the House races.
