The whole point of the memo is to not be released. They can selectively pick and choose information and leak selected bits of the selected bits to make up look down and white look black.

Releasing the information makes all that look moot. See the Fusion testimony.

Rosenstein reportedly approved an application to extend surveillance of former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page because the Justice Department had reason to believe he was acting as a foreign agent for Russia, according to three people familiar with the matter who spoke with the Times.

That’s the key phrase…extend surveillance. Carter Page was already under a FISA warrant, Rosenstein merely said go ahead and keep up the surveillance. And yes, Rosenstein “approving” mostly means that he signed off on DoJ documents/opinions that were presented to the FISA court when they extended the warrant. Rosentstein himself doesn’t have the authority to do that, only the Courts do. (unless they issued a NSI letter, which is a way around the FISA Court, but that seems doubtful since FISA approved the surveillance of Page in the first place).

The claim is that they told the judge certain things, but did not mention that MI6 Russia hand well-known Democratic partisan Chris Steele was the source thereof.

A good way to understand this idiotic behavior is mob mentality. The mob always acts like it is entitled to do all of its illegal behavior. It’s a mindset of entitlement. When someone is on their trail or catches them, they don’t reason or react, they bully you with an aggrieved ‘How dare you?!’ attitude. That’s Trump and Nunes here.

The Trumper outrage amounts to: “How dare you spy on me while I’m committing treason?!”. The real question ought to be “What the hell are you guys doing talking to Russians?!”. In the way that Trumpers respond, they’re never on defense, always on offense, and they bet that they can make enough noise to force a compliant media and GOP to accept their version of reality and never hold them accountable for treasonous behavior. It also lines up with Russian disinformation.

The effect or intent of this exercise is to burn Carter Page as a source of info for US intel about the Trump-Russia connection. This tells Russia to either stop talking to Page or to spread disinformation through him to throw people off the trail. Russia can also determine what other sources are linked to Page and start dealing with them (e.g. assassinations).

Also why are so few in the US MSM reporting nothing about Dutch intelligence hacking into Russian intelligence computer systems and gaining access and recording their video streams. One would think that the Dutch knowing and warning about Russian hacking of the DNC in real time would be rather significant especially to the dotard who still refuses to admit that the Russians were messing around with our election.

First, they get a MEXICAN judge (BIAS) to RULE on the PRESIDENT’s case regarding his fine institution of higher learnin’. UNFAIR!

Now, they have a JEW overseeing PERSECUTION of the president! BIGGEST WITCH HUNT IN AMERICAN HISTORY! Almost all U.S. JEWS are DEMOCRATS (spoiled!) !!!

Agreed, this is all about Rosenstein not Page. Presumably there’s other stuff in the memo that attempts to damn him as “biased.” Maybe get him to resign instead of being fired? Hard to say how that looks any better.

If they didn’t tell the FISA Judge about the Steele connection he couldn’t have used it in making his decision.
