Whatever you may say about Comey–and I have had some harsh comments about him–he did not deserve to be canned this way. Trump should have called him in for a private meeting and asked for his resignation. Very possibly, he would have got it. If Comey had refused, Trump could have said that he had asked for the resignation, but it was refused and so it was necessary to dismiss the Director. But Trump is an uncivilized brute, and it’s clear that there’s no one around him to talk sense into his thick skull.

Trump is a classless pig and always will be. His firing of Comey, regardless of the merits, shows his true colors. Any one else would have waited for Comey to come back home, call him into the office, shoo everyone else out, and give him the news. Not Trump. Totally classless. Someone on CNN said Trump was “conflict-adverse”. That is a another name for coward. Trump is a bully, and like all bullies he is a coward.

Only time I’ve ever agreed with Krauthummer - I hope both sides of the aisle get behind an investigation of this whole sordid mess.
It’s not about Comey or about what Comey deserves; it’s about the minimum respect and consideration that a civilized person should show to another, especially an employee in a high profile situation. It’s just not right.

I was thinking about that last night…
Either he thinks he’s still on that show, (clearly the highlight of his life, since it afforded him unquestionable fealty, staged adoration and overvalued self-congratulation on how important he thought he was)…or, he wishes he were still seen in that light as a TV star as opposed to being a so-called President. Let’s face it, no one expected much from him as a TV star…and he was a failed businessman that needed to reinvent himself somehow to dig out of all his debt.
If it weren’t for that fucking show this Mangey Mango Man would never have become our most vote losing-est President in the United States.
