As I’ve said before, this isn’t The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight. It’s The Gang That Can’t Get The Gun Out Of The Holster Without Shooting Themselves In The Foot.

…and the media will continue to report controversy with glee, yet not connect the dots to the oversight that should be coming from Congress. (You know, provide context)

“The Washington Post confirmed that Comey had asked the Justice Department’s second in command, Rod Rosenstein, for more resources to support the inquiry into whether members of President Trump’s campaign colluded with the Russian government last year.”

Imagine that: all the blather about Rosenstein being a “highly-respected career Justice Department official” looks like high-grade bunk and malarkey.

I’ve been saying since yesterday that the default view of Rosenstein should be that he is in place specifically to ratfuck any real investigation into Trump and Russia. Inasmuch as he was the one who signed off on Comey’s firing, there’s only one conclusion.

I don’t care who it is or where they’ve been previously—nobody who agrees to work for Donald Trump should be given the benefit of the doubt. It’s a sign that they don’t have any moral or ethical scruples.

People in the FBI were loyal to Comey, and Trump tried to humiliate him publicly. Not a good idea, Donny.

They will make sure the news gets out, one way or another.

The conclusion that the Media will dance around but avoid drawing that conclusion? Yep, that one

Stop that crap. The New York Times is Media and they are certainly drawing that conclusion. TPM is Media. So called “progressives” whining about the Media are just as trite as so-called conservatives doing it. The story is heavily reported and anyone who isn’t a rabid Trumpster will put 2 and 2 together,

The optics just keep getting worse.

Actually, major media is owned and run by the oligarchs who rule this country. Progressives should be suspicious of it. Judith Miller and the NYT are Exhibit A. The demonization of Hillary Clinton by NYT is Exhibit B. And it would be easy to get to Exhibit Z.

And now in his meeting with Kislyak, he let in the Russian State media but no US press. It’s like he’s TRYING to get impeached. Or hung as a traitor. Either is fine with me…

That didn’t take long.

Leaks will start resembling a stream soon. Horrible, self-defeating decision by Trump.

So is McCabe going to be the one who says he doesn’t need any more resources, or is Rosenstein going to be the one who regretfully tells him the DoJ can’t spare them because it’s investigating more important things?

(That’s slightly snarky, except that if either of those things happens we should probably all be making a Plan C.)

And do all he’s promised Putin in order to have Russian debts forgiven while he is still in office.

Sadly Pence will pardon Trump ASAP once Trump is gone.

Sergey Lavrov must have really enjoyed this morsel from Trump behind closed doors…

Forget about leaks, there will be a flash flood of sewage pretty soon.

won’t work for them

Trump wanted Comey to use seasonal investigators from Eastern Europe…

Drip…drip…drip. If Trump was mad at the constant leaks coming out of his administration, he ain’t seen nothing yet.
