“Never pick a fight with a man who buys ink by the barrel and paper by the ton.”
Shorter version: “Bring it, Orange-boy.”
Is this legalese for “stick it where the sun don’t shine”?
Given the number of allegations against him over such a long period of time, it seems like Trump is always set straight.
So we are not to believe Trump’s own words?
I’m good with that.
Ha! Great response.
“We welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight.” - That is a classy response (and a great put down)
NY Times just sent Trump to the burn ward. He’ll need a massive skin graft.
““The essence of a libel claim, of course, is the protection of one’s reputation,” David McCraw, assistant general council at the New York Times, wrote in a letter. “Nothing in our article has had the slightest effect on the reputation that Mr. Trump, through his own words and actions, has already created for himself.””
Hoo boy! I’m rolling on the floor laughing -
Headline: Orange Man With Short Fingers and Shallow Pockets Yells at Cloud
I believe that the NYT’s response can be summarized thusly: Bring it on, Cheeto.
I think Trump’s quest for fame will end up with a mental condition named after him.
Trump isn’t suing anyone. Who ever Trump sued would have the right to take his deposition under oath about all of this. He’s not going to let such a depo happen.
Ohh no I love that lawyer’s statement dearly. It was a vicious put down.
“We just printed it for entertainment.”
NYTimes
Me too. It was straightforwardly contemptuous.
Absolutely brilliant letter by Mr. McCraw, who is the Assistant General Counsel (not “Assistant General Council”). Kudos to the New York Times.
SLAPP!!! What a comeback!!
