Discussion: NY Times Editor Said He'd Risk Jail to Publish Trump's Taxes

In other words, “If you have a way to get access to Trump’s taxes, send them to me, your anonymity is assured.” Hint, hint, IRS employees, Trump employees, Trump tax preparers, I’m here.

He will never release. Too much organized crime in his background.

Big tough guy Dean Baquet.

Never mind this shit. Just run an honest newspaper.

Yet there’s so much he could print without risk of his freedom that he chooses not to print.

He’ll never see Trumps taxes. His rag didn’t make a sustained issue out of it. It ran out of ink yakking about Clinton’s blood clot, Foundation and her “not being trustworthy”. This asshole knows like many if we see those tax filings Trump is done done done. He blew it. Fuck him and don’t buy that bullshit paper.

Every presidential nominee in the past four decades has made their tax returns public.

This is FALSE. Mitt Romney released only a limited summary of a year or two – nothing even close to the whole tax returns that President Obama did or John McCain did and that Hillary has already done. I wish to frick reporters would get this straight!!

With regards to the story, I call BS. The NYT has bent over backwards to scream anything negative about Hillary or Bill Clinton. I have serious doubts these folks would risk jail time just to release HO’s returns (in full) if anyone leaked them.

“hypothetically risk jail” Now there’s a caveat I could sail an aircraft carrier battle group through.

Trump: Shouldn’t we put potential criminals like him in jail, in Guantanamo Bay?

I suspect that the New York Times isn’t physically big enough to publish tramp’s returns. There has to be a thousand pages or much more. I’m nobody and my returns are close to a hundred pages without worksheets.

Caveat: He’d only print them if he could find a way for Trump’s returns to “cast a shadow” on Hillary Clinton.

Yet there is so much about Trump’s possible criminal financial dealings, or open issues of bribes, e.g., FLA AG Bondi, or his potentially sham charities, that the NYT has not published much, if anything, on.

Why is there no law that any presidential candidate must provide tax and medical information to the voters?

Many other professions require background checks/security info/ health data/ even credit checks before a hire is made.

Exactly. More posturing from that exclusive male club of suckups and posturing boy-men. There isn’t a goddamn one of them who wouldn’t try and crawl up Trump’s ass for a peanut.

You’ve got old gutter hacks like Cokie Roberts saying the Democrats are looking for a replacement for Hillary. i’ll believe it when they replace cokie roberts with her sole analogue in this world, which is a worn out shitbrush…

Which is about the size of it considering this is the same NYT that puts every supposition, innuendo and front page ‘news’ article leading to “more questions” about Hillary’s “questionable trustworthiness” and “lack of transparency” on display whenever they can…with this same editor in charge of those decisions.

Eh. I’ll believe it when I see it. Until then, I’ll continue to vent my own editorializing bullshit in the comment section of this site…for posterity of course. If anything, I’ll learn to improve on my writing skills over time.

He’s just looking for plaudits. Not gonna wash after the shit job his newspaper has done under his watchful or not so watchful eye.

Seems to me he’s saying…“Now, everyone clap.” So big whoop…and that goes for washed up Bob Woodward too.
