Hmmm, I’ve seen many women who love the movie, many say it is their favorite. So that point is just false.
I’m a male, and I never viewed those guys as heroes, I viewed them as thugs (especially Tommy, who in real life was the worst of all of them). When they hijacked that truck driver, I would have preferred to see the truck driver take a gun out of his glove box and waste them. So, there goes that point.
“NY Post Critic”…the phrase “not capable of understanding” applies to him.
What’s he talkin’ about?!

Sounds like Kyle Smith wants a place where women cannot go like a tree fort that says “No Gurlz”. He reminds me of all those guys who whine about women in video games…
Oh, and the women in my family love good action movies! None of us really can stand “romcoms”.

IMDB for Goodfellas: one of the film’s two editors is Thelma Schoonmaker. So a film that “women don’t get” was shaped into its final form by… a woman.

Sounds like the women in my family.
Apparently, the NY Post critic doesn’t think I understand one of my favorite movies of all time. I guess he thinks I don’t understand Scarface, The Last Don, Godfather I & II, and Belly either, my other all time favorites. That’s funny because I bet that asshole actually liked Titanic. Don’t even get me started on that shitshow.

Goodfellas is a male fantasy picture? Yeah… I am quite sure that Henry Hill thought that growing up broke in Brownsville, turning to boosting trucks, going to jail, arsoning, frauding, robbing, selling and getting hooked on drugs, then going to prison, seeing his friends killed off, ratting out his crew and dragging his entire family into witness protection is “THE LIFE 
”.

LOL…I saw Titanic once. I have had no desire to see it again. This was back when I was trying very hard to appear as femme as possible.
My mother’s favorite Mob movie, though, is Married to the Mob. According to my mother, who grew up in NYC, it’s incredibly accurate in some very odd ways.
But my mother’s currently watching Guardians of the Galaxy…

I caught it when it came out on cable. I sat through until the part where Leonardo DiCaprio’s character says it’s been the best day and then dies. I was like “Dude, you just met this bitch!” That was the point I turned it off.
I wasn’t judging. I love that movie too…and most of the MCU movies. And Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek…

I kept thinking that, if they had been careful, they could have gotten Jack up on the piece of flotsam Rose was on. The funny this is that Mythbusters proved that all they had to do was lash the life vest under the board and they could easily have both lived. Cameron’s reaction “Well, Jack had to die.”
Overall, it was a trite love story which ended predictably.

It nearly destroyed DiCaprio’s career. He got typecast as the pretty boy hero which was a real shame because he has so much more talent than that. Basketball Diaries and Whats Eating Gilbert Grape as just two much better examples of what he can do than Titanic.
Thankfully, he seems to be shedding it now, mostly by taking roles that are the exact opposite of pretty boy heroes.
