MS, AL and other Southern Republican Legislatures: We will name all our parks after Trump. He really knows the value of confederate heritage.
'“Blood Creek Park” for all the blood spilled fighting the alien invaders on Independence Day.
Have you folks seen this ‘Donald J Trump State Park’?
It’s a tetanus-filled trashy mess, with buildings falling down and covered with crude graffiti.
On second thought, I think it’s a perfect reflection of what America will look like if voters make the mistake of electing him to office. And a perfect reflection of Trump himself: A nice sign out front; abandoned slums inside, complete with Nazi symbols.
You are right. If that is what the park looks like, leave the Trump name there. It’s fitting . . . .
And while we wait for the barely functional NY legislature to do something about the name of the park, how about just taking down the signs on the Taconic State Parkway that tout the park? Seems this can be done more simply through the DOT.
That is indeed a photo of Trump’s abandoned state park. My understanding is he bought a chunk of land, intending to build a golf course on it. (What else?) The deals fell through. In an effort to unload the land and get a tax write-off, he donated it to the state of New York. I guess one of the provisos was his name be put on this proposed state park.
Well, New York State wasn’t especially interested in having or maintaining this ‘park’ which was really just a chunk of land with a few dilapidated buildings on it and a whole lot of overgrown brush. So no funding was ever allocated, except to put up signs on the Parkway pointing to it. Utterly pointless signs, since the “park” is in no way open to the public and never has been.
