“Alexa, order all of the popcorn. Oh, and a case of Knob Creek.”
Who knew that contracts trumped subpoenas.
Bring em’ on…
I want to see the Court room filled with every women that Donald has groped or committed adultery with…
I don’t think the Judge will agree to move the proceedings to the Madison Square Garden…
Wow. Republicans go all in on class warfare.
Well, pardon me as this crusty old agnostic gets a bit mawkish at one more God bless America moment, where we find often enough to keep going that some of us still believe in fair play, the rule of law, civic duty, simple humanity, all that fun stuff. We’re being sorely tested, but some of us still do believe in those ideals we so often fall far short of. Maybe the republic will still be here when this is all over. For the moment, a victim gets her day in court, even though her victimizer is currently the damn president. That’s how it’s supposed to be.
I like the way Zervos and Wang refer to Trump as “the defendant.” Not only does it have a nice ring to it, but it belittles him and ignores the grand name he loves so much.
This is excellent news. Especially if the court allows her to submit as evidence the Apprentice outtakes.
America will then see much worse than “grabbing pussies”
Avenatti says he has two more women lined up who got money for NDA’s.
L.A. Coliseum rents out for $ a day?
Precedent set for future indictments? A boy can hope.
She also subpoenaed Trump, who has been given until “May 29 to respond to a demand that he be deposed.” According to the ruling, Trump and the other parties cannot delay the process of fulfilling the subpoenas. In March, the New York Supreme Court allowed the defamation suit to proceed after Trump’s legal team attempted to argue that the case was unconstitutional under the Supremacy Clause.
"No one is above the law," wrote New York Supreme Court Judge Jennifer Schecter in allowing a defamation lawsuit in March.
“For the very same reasons articulated in Clinton v. Jones, a stay for the duration of the Trump presidency must be denied,” the opinion stated. "Nothing in the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution even suggests that the President cannot be called to account for wrongful conduct that bears no relationship to any federal executive responsibility."
Uh oh…he better settle. This might get too pricey even for the Russians and Qataris. For their sake, oil prices better double or even triple. And Donald is doing his level best to make that happen.
Now there’s a GoFundMe page I’d donate to…
Nothing like having a video of that scumbag with his head up his ass to brighten up the day!
Stormy has a crowd-funding page for legal costs. Currently at ~half a million and working on a stretch goal of $850,000.
I sure as hell hope she would refuse a settlement that keeps the terms private.
@alyoshakaramazov “She also subpoenaed Trump”. Man I’d love to be the deputy sheriff who knocks on the door of the White House and hands it to Spankee.
If someone can leak that SAR financial report on Michael Cohen, surely someone at that show can leak those tapes.
I hope the trial, when it is held, is televised. Nothing like "The Apprentice Goes To Court " to relieve the monotony of the afternoon soap operas…It would likely be the highest rated reality tv show in history. And we all know how much stock Hair Orange Furor places in ratings .
This case is a bigger risk than the stormy daniel’s case.
Trump has just been utterly and completely stupid to fight Daniels. Rather than suing to enforce the “non-disclosure” agreement he should have just released her from it. That would have ended the matter. Trump controlled that case, but gave up the control.
The case OTOH, Plaintiff is in the drivers seat, and Zervos will get via discovery everything she is asking, which will include (a) any other complaints, (b) anyone paid hush money, © any document re A or B, and (d) documentary evidence such as the outtakes on Access Hollywood. Who knows how many “other similar incidents” she will find…
And then she will clearly get to depose Trump about all of this…
And not a frigg’n thing Trump can do about it. It is in NY state court, and his pardon powers only extend to FEDERAL CRIMINAL matters…
