Since Nunes is apparently opposed to the Amendments to the Constitution, this can only mean heâs completely pro-gun-control. This may come as a real shock to his fanboys. But, hey, you canât attack the 1st Amendment and not attack the 2nd! And while weâre at it, since Nunes does NOT support the U.S. Constitution, doesnât he have to recuse himself from Congress?

It seems his efforts here are multipronged. This stuff gets him press (would that the press would leave it alone, or give a monthly summary, say, of where his actions stand). That helps him look relevant to his base and, yes, gets him donations, perhaps. Beyond that, he does hope to get in there and mess our system of jurisprudence, allowing people such as him to be satirized. But the first reason may countermand the other⌠heâs got money and backing to pursue these suits, so why on earth should he fear being satirized?

But whatâs going to happen when the FACTS are presented in court? I donât know whether Michael Flynnâs judge, Emmet Sullivan, presides over civil cases, but I can imagine the judge wondering aloud why Nunes hasnât been charged with treason.
My take is âThomas is a crank who subscribes to a school of constitutional interpretation with exactly one member.â Kavanaugh and Gorsuch have shown firm support for broad libel protection as judges and in confirmation hearings where they otherwise fudged.
