Discussion: Nunes Has 'Thought A Lot About' Inviting Justice Roberts To Address Committee

This made me laugh and I really needed one today.

Welp, they’ve finally brought it back around to trying to blame Obama…

Apparently, a sitting POTUS receiving a briefing from the FBI about immediately pressing foreign intelligence about Russian interference in a n ongoing election is “getting involved” in the investigation.

The mind of Devin Nunes.

What I suspect with Devin is that the lights are on but no one is home. He is just trying with all of his stupidity to undermine the Russia investigation.

On another note this is interesting.

I think this sums up Nunes’ mentality on the Intelligence Committee pretty well.

I can’t wait to see this clown do the perp-walk. He has to be up to his eyeballs in $h1t in addition to being the dumbest guy in congress to think anything he’s doing is helpful to his cause.

There is so much to unpack here. Congress people having dinner with SC Justices?

And Nunes thinks having coffeve with a Chief Justice is…possible?

On the bright side, he does seem dimly aware of that whole “separation of powers” peskiness inherent in the Constitution…

Why oh why has Rohrabacher Dinosaur Farts gone so quiet recently?

WTF?
WTF is he talking about?
WTF is he doing in Congress?
WTF is he doing as a committee chair?
WTF is he doing trying to impersonate a human being?

You’re not the first person to not understand what “begs the question” means and you won’t be the last. It does not mean to generate a question. This is the dictionary meaning of it. It is a circular argument. “Donaldtrump is a moron”, “How could you tell?” as the response is the phrase that begs the question. You’re welcome.

(of a fact or action) raise a question or point that has not been dealt with; invite an obvious question.
2.
avoid the question; evade the issue.

Keep in mind he was responding to one of the most influential radio R talkers Hugh Hewitt and he must have known he could say crazy and not be challenged.

I can

This is Trey Gowdy

And this is Trey Gowdy

Nutshell: in Gowdy’s world, Russia interfered in the 2016 election, but Trump didn’t benefit from that interference.

Same with the memo: though it exists, doesn’t mean that the Russia probe is irrelevant.

Consider this: Paul Ryan could appoint anyone else, at any time. Paul Ryan and his party are all in for NUNES.

He’s there to be bad at his job. And he’s exceeding expectations, I’m sure.

Like Rachel said last night any one of dozens of incidents a few years back would have been scandal and front page news for weeks .

Yep, but what is he getting in return? This just makes him look guilty of something and they aren’t going to help him when he gets hung out to dry.

Well, sure: some Republicans inadvertently do the full Monty on Hewitt.

But where is Dinosaur Farts Rohrabacher?

FISA courts are set up by statute. Congress creates and enacts legislation. If he wants to know how the FISA Court works, he should ask someone in Congress or ask a lawyer with specific knowledge and experience in interpreting FISA. There should be legislative history along with it.

If I have a question about a legal case, I don’t go and ask a judge. I talk to a lawyer.

As far as the underlying information supporting the warrant, it’s classified and typically information isn’t de-classified because I want to know.

One of these things that Gowdy thinks is not like the other, no matter how hard he wishes.

But yeah, reporting will blast the “Gowdy Emerges” and ignore the dancing through the hoops.
