Which is a bogus argument from the git go. If you’re a public figure, not a private person who has been thrust into the spotlight like, say, Monica Lewinsky (see John Oliver last week), but a public figure either by profession or by choice (see those seeking publicity to further careers types), then you are open to a vast number of people that you are responsible to, to some degree, like it or not. If the public does defame, then you can do something about it. If the public is mean to you, or exposes your lies, too bad punk!, er, Devin.
