Waaaaa! You’re in the public spotlight, live with it.

Where does freedom of speech fit into all of this, l’il Devin? Should we outlaw truth telling as well? Shall we outlaw humor? I don’t even think our corrupted supreme court will back you on this.

Devin’s cow says moo hoo, moo hoo.

LOL, Bwaaaahahahahahahahaha…

Made fun of is not the same thing as defamed. He really ought to read Husler Magazine v. Falwelll. This case won’t survive the first motion.

At some level, I agree with Nunes. For example, if you spent years leveling false and scurrilous charges at a public figure, insinuating that he wasn’t actually born in the United States (despite his consistent assurances to the contrary), then there should be some consequences for that.

“So what we’re talking about here is defamation and so if it’s with reckless disregard for the truth and with malice, doesn’t matter if you’re a public figure or not,” he told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum.

Does Nunes really want to open that door? Because that describes what Trump, many GOP politicians, Fox News and much of the right-wing media does on a daily basis.

Nunes, Trump and their sort really want to make sarcasm, parody, humor, jokes, and any criticism directed at them actionable as “defamation.” But, they still want to be free tell outright lies about others, accuse others of criminal activity, and say whatever they want without those other people having any recourse.

And … he wants Twitter to just pay him some money to settle a case that has no merit. Trump and Nunes are poor choices for trying to change defamation laws. But, good luck pig-fuckers.

Ask Jerome Corsi how his case against Mark Warren turned out.

I’ve heard Nunes has sex in an outhouse with his mother.

Devin is a very, very dim bulb. And WTF is it with the “every Nunes screenshot has him licking his lips”?

Jesus, he’s mixed up, or he’s pretending to be. You can, in fact, be sued for libel if you publish accusations against a public figure that you know are false. He’s asking for a standard he already has. But his suit alleges mostly that he was made to feel bad because of obvious satiric mockery. That’s protected, because if there was any one god-damn thing the founders wanted to make bedrock it was the right to criticize the people who govern you and satire is a form of criticism.

Careful. Might be soon you could be sued for calling someone a liplicker.

If he had the courage of his “convictions,” he’d not be doing this on Fox, where he’ll get unqualified support for any sort of contention he makes. Nunes’ attorneys merit some scrutiny here. Who are these people and who is paying them? We need to know.

Our Devin has never been one to let facts stand in the way of a good whine.

There’s Nunes problem. He’s not a “reasonable” person, and neither is Trump or the Trump supporters. Facts are fake to them.

Defamation: Claiming to have found “evidence” and turned it over to the white house (also not true - more a staged hoax) that proves the former US President had surveilled (or ‘tapped wires’) of Trump during the campaign. check.

Reckless disregard for the truth and with malice: See hoax above, and for malice count the number of times Nunes engaged in behavior as intel com chair, via selective hearings, via leaks via and other pr stunts led to frame blame on either the previous President and figures in his administration, or made derogatory and ginned up claims against Hilary Clinton. check.

Wait - while we are on this one - what about that whole “Lock her up” chant - should she sue Trump, his campaign, and all rally attendees?

Um Devin, dontcha see the potential problem/self-vulnerability that you have?

It all comes back to The Rump. A man who was born on the two yard line but feels cheated out of a grand slam. He spends his mornings bitching on Twitter how every other POTUS in history would be shooting free throws while the whole world gets two minutes for high sticking.
