Right now republicans are defending him, alleging unprecedented persecution. But as soon as we learn what Flynn told Mueller, the republicans will start claiming that he should rot in jail and the well known dirty liar should not be believed at all.
We already went through all those stages in the Cohen case.

The problem for people like Nunes is that they don’t seem to understand what goes on during a guilty plea. The judge has to find an adequate factual basis to support Flynn’s guilty plea. Running out of money for your legal defense isn’t an adequate factual basis. Flynn lying to the FBI is an adequate factual basis. The judge had to be convinced that Flynn lied to the FBI or his plea would not have been accepted.

So: do you think the previous draft of the Special Counsel’s report was edited today upgrading Flynn Sr.'s conspiracy charge(s)? It probably won’t be as lenient as the SC’s sentencing filing on the lying-to-FBI charge.
He apparently believes his constituents elected him precisely to continue his priority expressed in his earlier terms under Barack Obama: to attack Hillary Clinton and whomever else his crazy right-wing rich funders hate.
