I like Diane Rehm. listen regularly to her show, and she has a nice spectrum of guests. That said, her questions on international affairs in general, the Middle East specifically, and Israel in particular, tend to be on the stupid side, like those I would expect form a 7th grader of his teacher in a social studies class. I sometimes wonder if she even reads WAPost or NYTimes internationals sections, the questions are so off the wall. She also will use Twitter as a source on international subjects. Its the guests who save the show. Credit to her for picking them.

Nor does it matter. There is no constitutional prohibition against dual citizenship. Itâs virtually certain that many members of Congress hold dual citizenship, even without realizing it. Ted Cruz claimed he didnât know he was a Canadian citizen (unlikely). Most countries grant citizenship to the children (and in some cases grandchildren) of their citizens and in most cases, even if you become a US citizen, you retain your birth citizenship unless you specifically renounce it, which is an expensive and time-consuming process that almost no-one goes through. So anyone with a foreign-born parent (or even grandparent) may well be a dual citizen. Like Mitt Romney (Mexico), Rick Santorum (Italy). Doubtless a goodly number of Congress folks. This is not only anti-Semitism, but birtherism.

Diane thought it was important that a lot of people who are liking him on Facebook know Bernie is a Jew before they start thinking he can win. She couldnât ask the question straight out so she came up with the dual citizenship question.

So half of the GOP has stated that they trust Israelâs Prime Minister more than they trust the President of the United States, and most of them have repeatedly stated that they stand with Israel, but this reporter has a concern that Bernie Sanders might be a dual United States/Israel citizen because of some BS on the internet? Ok then.

FYIâŚANYONE who is Jewish is AUTOMATICLY given citizenship in Israel. Its call the âRight of Returnâ, so yeah he might have citizenship, but so would any other Jewish person
