I guess Stormy is well rid of him.
If he’s as pictured, its surprising he wasn’t hired by Trump.
With those charges, one would think he was shooting for a White House Counsel position…
Come on Michael …Repeatafter me
Witch Hunt! Witch Hunt! Witch Hunt! Witch Hunt!
I would be happy to never hear his name again.
Out-roo-dee-ing roo-dee!
People in desperate financial trouble tend to make wild, risky decisions when they think it can save their bacon. It’s why you can’t get a security clearance with a shitty credit score unless your name is Jared Kushner.
Considering that Avenatti alone, of all the attorneys playing hardball with this kind of extortion, gets charged, this is smacks of using DOJ for political revenge. But that’s where we are in the Barr DOJ.
He has been Hoisted upon his own Petard.
A scummy low-life who got a taste of the big-time, and let it go to his head.
Gee, where have we seen that before?
Avenatti more to say to you-a. I’ma not-a fuckiround-a.
Bullshit it does. The man was dumb enough to try to milk tens of millions of dollars out of a major US corporation and was dumb enough to do it again, on tape. He went and found the largest spotlight in the time zone and pointed it at himself and said ‘LOOK AT ME DOING ALL OF THE BIG CRIMES!’
I amused by all the derps and trolls on mainstream newspaper comment sections that think that progressives give a damn about Avenatti.
I always thought Stormy Daniels was the most decent person out of all of them, Cohen, Trump, Pecker, and Avenatti.
Sorry to say this doesn’t come as much of a surprise at this point. Even as things went on with Stormy he didn’t seem to have a normal role in life. He certainly wasn’t trying to make his way doing skillful legal representation. It was all about notoriety, publicity, leverage, having dirt on people. And then he went over the line and skidded all the way down. A pity.
Barr flexing his DOJ muscle to take out Trump detractors? Surely not. These charges must be completely legit.
I never considered him a hero or a villain. I suppose there is some advantage in a lawyer, at least in high profile cases, who is somewhat aggressive and willing to talk to the cameras, but I always found him more than a bit too brash and too fond of the spotlight. His statements that he was thinking of running for president made me cringe. I don’t want a Democratic version of Trump.
He was so fond of the spotlight that crowding his way into it eventually seemed to be his only real goal.
Avenatti always seemed like a person who would go the Cohen-style lawyer route.
The whole tawdry spectacle is over. Stormy Daniels’ “affair” with Trump was one-night of prostitution by a stripper/porn actress.
Arguably the payment extracted from Trump was a blackmail.
With this latest on Avenatti, seems par for the course.
It tripped up Cohen, and I’m glad that happened for what else it revealed, but Yuk.
Just wondering…
What happened to the National Enquirer’s demand from Bezos…or else they will release his embarrassing photos? Isn’t it similar to what Avenatti has alleged to do against Nike?
Just saying…
Following Trumpers’ logic, Avenatti should be a presidential candidate by virtue of his similarity in alleged criminal acts with Individual-1 i.e. lied about his income to obtain bank loan!
