I’m sure Trump will tell for what by my count is at least the third time about the touching occasions when parents of the fallen soldiers have told him how grateful they are the remains are finally being returned.
If they follow through and if the remains are actually Americans, this is a good thing. Not worth putting up with Trump, but I like to appreciate anything positive coming out of this administration. Lord knows there’s not many.
Math. Who needs it?
Fixed it for you, because, as you know, it’s always about him.
THe Parents of these BRAVE soldiers WILL finally BE at PEace.
Technically, I don’t think there could be too many parents left to say anything, Korean vets are dying of old age every day.
There was a Korean war Friday??
The return of the soldiers’ remains and the demolition of missile test sites were concessions made by North Korea as it moves toward denuclearization.
Seriously? I’m no International Relations expert, but ain’t no way DPNK is denuclearizing.
How sad is it - when on reads such a headline, and has to scroll through to see the source of the announcement - to make sure it ISN’T the WH or Trump’s twitter - before considering that the item might be rooted in some reality.
This is a good thing for the families of the soldiers.
But if I understand correctly, these are the first 55 sets of remains returned even though Trump announced last month (my god, was it only last month?) that 200 sets had already been returned.
Will the press question the White House on that discrepancy? Or will they think it is too sensitive?
So if I understand this correctly we DID get something from North Korea after all, in exchange for no participating in South Korean miltary exercises, we got some 65 year old bones. HUMAN bones! Not ones from a BBQ. Take that, liberals! MAGA!
Since the parents are all dead, he must have gotten the pleading through the White House Fortune Teller. Is it the same one as when he started or did he fire him, too?
Was this in exchange for the remains of Dennis Rodman?
I expect that they will need to do DNA testing of the remains so that they can be properly identified. I do have to wonder what may happen if the DNA doesn’t match up with missing servicemen, or if the DNA suggests another source for the bones. What if Kim hasn’t actually returned remains of US service personnel?
That is the million dollar question. They have not to date, despite Trump claiming 200. Have not in the past, releasing only a scatter of remains.
I have read this will be a forensic nightmare also. Remains may not even be US servicemen.
“I like soldiers who weren’t fallen.”
